WT951 - Create your own designer paper - June 1, 2023
Lisa here your hostess for this week's ways to use it challenge.
Many of us have gels, paints, mousses, inks, sprays, you name it we have it in our stash. For my challenge today, I would like you to pull out those mediums and create a background.
Have fun with your card and show off your wonderful backgrounds with your supplies. I can't wait to see your cards this week.
We have some great tutorials. Here are a few you could try:
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how: 1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
We have wonderful cards this week from the very creative team. Please check out their amazing inspiration.
Lisa, you are so correct! Think many of us who have been doing this for years have acquired LOADS of "stuff".....we're not even going talk about the $$$ spent. : ) Thanks for the challenge to use some of it again.
Lisa- terrific challenge, thank you! I used watercolor pencils on scraps of cardstock, glued them together on a card base, and locked down the pieces with dry embossing. Went with a fairy tale theme Here's Let Your Hair Down

Lisa- great challenge- thanks! I went a bit " out of the box " for my second card- dedicated to a good friend - who loves my quilts- and is visiting friends and family in Germany for a year- she will be missed.
As for my card technique, I applied lots of clear tape runner diagonally to my card base, affixing fabric scraps as they fit- both functionally and color- wise. Locked it all down with a cable knit embossing folder. Central panel is from my stash. Here's Safe Travels

Lisa- thank you for the inspiration. I tried a new technique (heck, they're all new techniques to me), which is a lot of fun. I even figured out how to get glitter in the design.
