Hello, Linda here this week with the Watercolor Wednesday challenge. We are going to be doing some winter foliage. I'm sure some of you have all your Christmas cards made and addressed ready to be sent. This video shows how to paint winter foliage that would make beautiful winter cards, not just Christmas. She touches on a number of skills like mixing colors and how to let the brush work for you. After practicing her method, I made a reference sheet which will come in handy. Here is the video
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread. 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE <fieldset class="fieldset" style="margin-bottom: 6px; font-size: 11px;"><legend style="color: rgb(109, 109, 109); font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: tahoma, verdana, geneva, lucida, "lucida grande", arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> </legend></fieldset>

Yesterday my "stupid smart car" (oxymoron) told me it wanted an oil change so conundrum today . . . get up and head off to make my car happy or try my hand at the challenge . . .painting won out . . .
This is such a great challenge, Linda. I did get the chance to watch the tutorial and it's so good. I hope I have the chance to pop in but this is Finals week. I've been so busy this semester with my class my SCS challenges are taking a back seat and I miss it so much. But I am stalking all the fabulous cards.
I'll look forward to some quiet time to just enjoy the tutorial at my more relaxed 'turtle' pace quickly after Christmas. ;) This looks like a winner to enjoy!
Linda - this was such a great challenge and video - I finally made a mistletoe and a pinecone - I need to practice the others more and hopefully make a wreath at some point!
