Default Scrappin' Challenge 3 - This is NOT vsbn

CHALLENGE #3-- What's hot, what's not? My Mother and I were just talking today about if I let my sons wear their pants below their boxers...to her, that's appalling. Fortunately my sons haven't gone for that trend BUT there are some they have... IPods, Hoodies, certain hats, favorite shows...etc. What about you or your children? Do they have a "trendy" toy, clothing, habit?? Let's SCRAP About it!!

Bonus Points for adding a list to your page...it can be "any" type of list....about the pictures, about the trends.

Don't FORGET to Upload to SCB08Jan3....

Here's my sample:

What about a Christmas pic with a list of Christmas "GOTTA HAVE IT, PLEASE MOM"s from years gone by? Or from your hubby or nephew or friend ;) for that matter!

hehe - I wish, but with a new home and new little one, we haven't been able to focus on trends in a while. Ok, so both are a little over a year old, but you know how that goes. Unless of course Little People from Fisher Price are a trendy thing for 1 year olds to get, and I have to admit I am fairly addicted to them to, it's dangerous going to the store, I have to get Maddy an addition to it.

Hmm so maybe that's addiction not addition??

Default Grrrr

Okay, who the holy hannah, hay-diddle, h-e-double-freakin'-hockey sticks invented this Herma tape runner?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??! Sigh. Okay. I feel better now. Temper tantrum passing...

But........................................what the heck? The tape keeps breaking (the yellow leftover part) and I can't get it to thread back through. I've got the sucker disembowled and in parts across my table...it's cutting into my scrap time...and it was almost TWENTY BUCKS...for that price, should it not come with a little genie who magically appears when disembowling of the tool begins?!?!?!?!? EEK.

But how do you keep the glue from getting everywhere throughout your scrap supplies?! Here's my technique, tell me what to change: lay die cut down on scrap paper, apply glue stick, lift die cut up, scrap paper comes with it. Repeat with next die cut, which now gets glue on the front of it from being on the same scrap paper.............. suggestions!? I do love me them glue sticks......way easier!

hum... I don't really experience this problemo.... But I don't guess I am going all the way to the edge of my die/paper- whatever I am glueing... if it is tiny enough for me to have trouble using the glue stick to cover the back without glueing the surface underneath said object, I run said object through my handy dandy (betcha thought I was gonna say "notebook") Xyron. I use glue stick on photos, mats, large pieces.

Ah yes, the Xyron. I've heard mention of such a tool, but it seems so...teeny in the story (looks like an X, right?) that I didn't think much of it...but NOW I can see the use of the little X...marks the spot, I guess!

Hehe I will, but not tonight, hubby has to get up way to early tomorrow for work, we just found out, so I need to get stuff packed for the babysitters, she hasn't been in a couple of months, have to find it all. But hopefully I can keep playing this week, and I will get some pics of her playing, she actually does love them. I bought some home the other day and she was getting upset I couldn't get the package open fast enough!!

xyron, I just got one, had a defective cartridge, got a new catridge from xyron last Monday, now to figure out what to do with it, rather than wasting all the adhesive in it ... but darn it I had to have it, and had a 40% at HL, now to go get the cuttlebug :p

hey I just remembered, my parents got me a webkinz for xmas, I still haven't registered it yet, but I collect stuffed platypus', the real ones aren't so cute, but the stuffed ones are adorable, and they always manage to find me a new one, I have no clue how many I have, but regardless they bought me one for Christmas. So between the little people and the webkinz, my dd keeps hugging away from me, I might just be able to come up with something!

We have all boys in my family so we've been through LOTS of TRENDS! We had Barney, Power Rangers, Spiderman, Toy Story, Yugio (sp?) cards, GameBoys, Playstations, X-Box, now cell phones, Ipods, ... LOL!

Talking Good Night!

well, Gals, I can't wait to see what you come up with for this CHALLENGE! It's been a FUN night and I think our first miniVSBN has been a success! Remember, you have until Thur, 01/31 to get all of your CHALLENGE Pages uploaded! Can't wait to see what you came up with! Feel free to do more than 1 page, just stick to the 2 hour time limit for each.

This is the sketch inspiration I used:
New 4 U by Salster at Splitcoaststampers
How does she think of all this stuff?

Tiaras have always been a hit with all 3 of my girls. I wrote them a note in my own handwriting:

My darling princesses', tiaras NEVER go out of style~your Queen.

yay, Now I've done all the challenges. This one was the hardest! I hope the little silver frame holds up. I got it at Big Lots for $1.00 over a year ago. I used it! Woo Hoo!

Default Challenge #3

Yeah, done! It's taken me all week to get back on the challenge but once I did this it came together in less than an hour :-)

My children are into Webkinz...there is a constant whine for a new one. I'm a mean mom though so they have to buy their own or earn them

I hope to start and finish the fourth one tonight too.
