My Story:
Getting married to the man I love most in the world has been the best decision I have ever made! We decided on the song "The Closer You Get" by Alabama as our wedding song. We both love modern Country music, and I adore Alabama and their style of music, so it was perfect.
My parents had signed us up for Dancing Lessons prior to our wedding, so with the beat of this song we learned the Rumba. Doing that together brought us even closer and I hope someday we can enjoy Dance Lessons again, as it truly is a magical experience.
My challenge to you is...
to scrap about something that is closest and dearest to your heart, that thing you love the most. Whether it is your Significant Other, your child, a pet, or even an inanimate object.
Then I want you to use lots and lots of pictures that are, of course, put tight and close together on your layout in a nice cluster or collage. And following the lyrics in the song:
"The closer you get, The further I fall" I want some separation where you put your journaling.
So for example if all of your pictures are on the left side of the page. I want your journaling on the right side of the page, with as much space between them as possible.
The last part of this challenge is to use only the following colors, since they were my wedding colors, it's your only choice
Navy and Silver as primary, and shades of mauve tones for accents. You can add white (but it must be stark white, not off, vanilla, etc) if need be since that was the color of the linens.
The dresses were Silver tops and Navy bottoms that we had made, with the Maid of Honor wearing all Navy. The flowers throughout were shades of pinks, from light pink, to dark mauve.

My husband wasn't in the navy, but he was in the Coast Guard and his hair is silver..oh wait it would be if he wasn't bald. lol does that count for navy and silver????

Hello Ladies! Back from church meeting, ate dinner, now for another movie (watched about 9 this weekend!) and to start scrapping again :-) How's everyone doing?

As I was talking with my DH about all of these challenges and this one in particular, I mentioned the colors... he says- aren't those Dallas colors? I was like DUH you bet. SO I am going to make my Dallas page Thanks for the inspiration
We are both just blue people, and it seemed appropriate to pair silver with it, just worked out that way, because we are not Dallas people!!! Especially since I am from the DC area, and Redskins and Cowboys used to have a huge rivalry!!

This is too funny.... I grew up in Northern Va, and most all of my family are Skins fans, accept myuncle, cousin, and me!!
I am going to have my husband take my photo with all of my Cowboy gear on for your challenge.
which part? I only say that because we are about the same age, and now only live 1 state apart, although I am about 10 mins to the WI line.
And I don't know if I can handle all that gear, eekkkkk
