First, I have to let you know�I absolutely ADORE both versions of this song ~ they are SO MUCH FUN! I was 9 when the first version came out; I remember playing in my friend�s basement just singing and dancing to it probably hundreds of times over the year. A few years back when my youngest daughter was about 5 or 6, she heard the Gloria Estefan version from a CD I owned�she made me play it over and over again! We use to sing, dance, and giggle at each other whenever we hear this song� now she�s at the age where I embarrass her�too bad, that only makes it more fun for momma ;-)!. Each artist puts her unique sound and touch to the song�but, it�s the same song. The beauty of this song is the sense of fun and excitement.
Same song different artist�that�s my challenge to you�same scrap page just put your touch to it. We�ve all saved a �Favorite� layout a time or two from our inspiring SCS Goals Gallery. Now it�s time to check out your saved favorites and scrap it! Try to keep the same layout and feel of the page but add your own touch to it. For example: I saved Elizabeth G.�s Fly Dumbo page in my Favorites�isn�t it a unique and fun page?! Well here is my version: Pinwheels For Peace. The key is to copy all the fun elements but make it your own. If you�re new to SCS, go to the December Goals Gallery it won�t take long to find and mark a few Favorite! Be sure to link us to your original favorite somwhere in your upload description :-) (you can view any goal gallery, I just used December to get you started)
Bonus: Make a handmade embellishments (like our pinwheels); Ribbon Flowers, multi layered die, etc. Be sure to share with us what embellishment you handmade!

sounds like a fun challenge Mary Pat. I still have Xander and dh is working on the farm so can't do anything yet. MIL said she would watch him this afternoon but I don't have times yet and need to figure that out.

Good Morning Scrap Sisters! My cold got the best of me last night and I went to get a Tylenol and ended up falling asleep on the couch. :rolleyes: I'm feeling better this morning and hope to get scrappin' and like Candy, get a few from yesterday caught up on as well!

How's the 24-hour game marathon going?! I know there are TONS of great pages and why make it hard this early in the morning ;-) I always save favorites but rarely go back to scrap other than my sample and one of yours! I bet others are like me so why not make it a challenge ;-)

The 24 hour Marathon is down to 6 Guys. Some of them slept in shifts, some left and some stayed up all night. The volume has gone down but they sound like they're still having fun. Haven't made as much for the charity as they wanted but still good effort and learning experience! :mrgreen: Thanks for asking!
I have SO many fave pages marked, I'm browsing through them now!

What a Sweetie! My DH made the coffee but he didn't do it so I could get up early to scrap, LOL! :-D

well, my scrapping plans just totally fell through. I won't be scrapping today...lets just say I am not happy at all. Dh just told me that he MIL is sick...he has known for over 3 hours...so she can't watch Xander. I hate that she isn't feeling good don't get me wrong. but I am also ticked that dh won't offer to cancel his playtime this afternoon to stay here with Xander. He said he would take Xander with him but ummm that won't work either...he needs to be closer since he refuses to drink from a bottle.
so right now I am totally bummed and NOT in a good mood...wish I had made brownies last night...I need some cheer me up food.
I'm so excited!! These 2 pages that I'm doing for this challenge will complete my oldest DS June 2008 - April 2009 Album. I usually do June to June but he was a senior in HS that year so I have lots of pages. May - Dec 2009 w/ Prom, Graduation, Open Houses, Moving to college etc....is an album by itself.

That's a shame. Well, you make sure that DH KNOWS he's in charge of Xander next weekend come Heck or High Water...and carve that time for yourself! Remember, you're not only educating Xander but his father too ;-)!

Oh Darcy, I'm sorry to hear that! It's nice to have a break sometimes and plan a little fun in. It's disappointing when it falls thru! :p At least you have us for company!

he usually helps alot...but he has known about vsbn longer than him going to go play games.

I knew there'd be some of you new to scrapbooking which is why I included the December Gallery in the challenge. Go and take a look then complete the challenge when you have time. You can always revisit a challenge and you have a week to participate for the upload recognition (Rockin' Through The Decades Hall Of Fame)
