Title: Crazy (sung by Seal, 1991 )
Hostess: Val (fresshe)
Keyword: Dec09VSBNTop4
Day/Date: Saturday, December 19
Time: 2:00 PM
What I have noticed the most about scrapbooking is the fact that when I go out and about I see more things now and the things I see , I see differently, almost like I have a fresher, sharper perspective on the world around me. I stand in awe more! And although the lyrics to this song are a bit out there for me, I stop and listen each time I hear this song-and maybe thats the part of me thats a little crazy-because I do stop and listen and look and see- So how does all this translate into a scrap book page?
My challenge to you is to make your design something out of the ordinary for you-if you normally scrap simple add some extra embellies, if you normally grunge things up, leave them clean, if you normally have everything in clean straight lines, then arrange your photos with a scattered look. The choices are endless-your challenge is simply to change your style a bit so you see thing, The size , Of which you've never known before. And of course you have to tell us how you changed things up!
Bonus for finding a way to use some of these crazy lyrics on your page and adding a little yellow to your page!
READ THE LYRICS AND LISTEN TO THE SONG HERE-well the part that counts
And then you see things
The size
Of which you've never known before
They'll break it
Someday...
Only child know....
Them things
The size
Of which you've never known before

I know what you mean about the "looking at things differently". I should have asked Santa for a new "small" camera in order to take pics of things I see now. I am just wowed by what I see as I now look for textures and color combos, etc! lol! I am much more observant now that I've been scrapping than a year ago!
Have fun at the Christmas party-dh and I are off to see the tigers and magic at the tropicana in a few hours!
And I have to say, that although I love the way this song sounds, when i read the lyrics i was a bit surprised-none the less they do point to our seeing so that is all that counts

Hi all! Just put lunch on table for dgs so I can steal the computer for a few minutes! He has been wanting to listen/watch the YouTube videos of the songs that I am hosting for VSBN...one tonight and one in Jan! Anyway, he's taking my computer time! Little rascal!
I LOVE being a hostess since you get the challenges ahead of time! Hint...you may want to sign up and get that advantage in the future! I never knew that before!
So I have my LO ready to go, just have to get it uploaded! I had fun with this one! Val, for some reason, I think you'll like my LO! At least the picture!

Just finished dressing DGS to go outside. He kept saying...but I have a shirt on already (x 4)! Tried to layer the socks but then his boots wouldn't fit right..oh well. Told him he had to stay out for AT LEAST 1/2 hour so it made it worthwhile putting all those layers on! lol!

He'll probably be back in a few minutes saying he has to go to the bathroom :-)! Never fails...

what a fun challenge, I do so much "in the box" it's hard to break out, hoping to use some of these challenges to get caught up on my December Daily. at some point I will actually get some scrapping done today, instead of just talking about it

I remember bundling up so much to go snowmobiling that I would be sweating like it was 100 when it was below zero! Sure am glad now though-I can still feel my fingers and my toes!

It is hard to get scrappin done this time of year-my biggest hindrance has been the 200 or so different items on sale every day at Designer Digitals-by the time I look through it all, it is time to go to bed and I have missed out on my scrappin time!

Thats ok-I added the important part of them in the challenge! And I loved listening to the song! great idea
Actually, if you go to the VSBN blogspot, underneath the main title is the Video Link to that particular song. We've been doing it for every song in case anyone didn't realize it :-)
I'm here....a little late, sorry. I finished the first challenge in between finishing Christmas "stuff" and house pick up. For some reason, I'm struggling to be creative today. Not sure what the problem is other than I'm "out of practice"....haven't stamped or scrapped for a couple weeks now

Yup...still there. But DH is almost done with shoveling and snow blowing so it's just about time to come back in. He's "swimming" in the front yard right now! LOL! Oh no...here they come! Gotta go Undress him now!
Oh how funny-glad to know dh was out there with him-I just got done teaching "Snowbound" a poem from the 1800's in America during a blizzard and in the poem it was too dangerous to go outside while it was snowing! Of course, Las Vegas kids had a really hard time with that idea! I related to being out in the desert when it is 130 with no water!

Wow-a couple of weeks! I begin to feel withdrawals after a day!
and yes-I saw the blog-I just think that is the greatest idea!
Usually I do too Val but I guess I'm just going through a "slump" right now. It's so strange because usually this time of year I'm really in scrap-mode. Even DH asked me what was wrong?
But...I'm making progress, got photos for this challenge so I should be back on track soon

Here's sending Lela some mojo! That is if she needs it! Haven't seen her for a while...must be off scrappin!
Aww Carol! You always know just when to cheer a gal up! I got the "mojo" you sent me. Even got my pages done for Val's challenge. This is way out there for me because I did the pages in under an hour. I usually fiddle around, move the picts, change my mind...etc. I just saw an idea and went with it. Done is done and I like how it turned out.

My youngest son and I played "Snap" together last night. It's been awhile since we played cards together, it was fun. We have the new Clue Game "Secrets and Spies" and we've been playing that lately...very fun!
