Default APR07VSBNS - You've Got to Eat Right

Welcome to the next challenge. I hope you are enjoying your visit to the Nature Spa. I will be your guide for the next two hours.

Even if you get plenty of exercise and rest there is one other important thing to remember and that is to eat healthy.

I want to see what healthy foods you have in your cupboard. My challenge for you is to use some type of food item as a stamp on your page. I used dried white beans that I put in a piece of plastic wrap and tied tightly, then pressed it into my stamp pads.

You must create your page using the sketch below from Becky Fleck's website.

Please feel free to adjust the sketch as needed for your pictures.
For example, I put two smaller pictures in the place of the one large picture.

Make sure you post what food item you used as your stamp and where you used it on your page as sometimes the pictures don't show the contrast very well when uploaded.

Don't forget to finish your page in less than two hours and put APR07VSBNS in the keywords.

Gallery Submissions!

If you are having trouble coming up with ideas - suggestions are beans, rice, pastas of any shape, even a bunch of spaghetti and used the ends, veggies -celery (the ridges would be a great texture), apples, oranges, melons, potatoes - esp. if you have any "bumpy" ones.

Katie's (DGD) favorite is rice I put in a balloon for her to stamp with.

What a clever challenge!

I'll go for that walk, but I'll probably be thinking about the challenge.....

Since it's a 12x12 layout, I'll try the stitching like you said before. Thanks!

Whew! I finally got away from all the birthday party stuff and came back to work on Sally's challenge which I actually managed to scrape a few minutes out of yesterday to start, only to find out that I need to do the polished stone technique. How did I miss that? Maybe its because we've been so busy this weekend!?! I don't have any metallic ink or reinkers and the stores are closed now. What to do? Guess I'll have to do another challenge! This one looks like a good place to start! Thanks Peggy!

sounds like you've had a busy week-end too. why do we go weeks with nothing, then it all happens at once?
can't see what you come up with.

no, we have had a crazy weekend too.... today we showed our house and then had a bday party in the next town, so in all that took most of the day. We are just now getting back home and getting settled in... I may later, but not likely. I will have to catch some of the challenges later. This VSBN was not in the stars for me. I wasn't in a scrappin' mood last night and then found out that someone was coming to look at the house, so I started a cleaning frenzy. I think it may have paid off though, they seemed very interested... keeping fingers crossed!

Yeah, and even if you plan things not all to be on the same weekend it doesn't always work out! We'd planned Noah's birthday party for last weekend but he and the other 1 year olds were all sick from the party they were at the weekend before so I cancelled and just had our famly together today. I thought for sure my bro and his family would leave earlier as they have a 1 1/2 hour drive home. Guess I was wrong.

Good luck with the house sale! Have you already bought another house? Are you moving far?

THanks. NO, we haven't bought another one yet.... we are deciding whether or not to build. The town we are moving to is about 45 minutes south of where we are now, but it is a VERY SMALL town... that will be a adjustment for me. There is a sonic, subway and grocery. THAT's it!

Hey chocolate is healthy. You have to get it in the pure form or Organic. I bought Cacoa Nibs and mix them with organic coconut, chopped almonds and Agave Nectar. Oh My Goodness talk about getting your sweet fix and calcium and stuff and trust me (I didn't believe my mom), but it really satisfies that craving and you only need one teaspoon of it! SOo So yummy.

no, we have had a crazy weekend too.... today we showed our house and then had a bday party in the next town, so in all that took most of the day. We are just now getting back home and getting settled in... I may later, but not likely. I will have to catch some of the challenges later. This VSBN was not in the stars for me. I wasn't in a scrappin' mood last night and then found out that someone was coming to look at the house, so I started a cleaning frenzy. I think it may have paid off though, they seemed very interested... keeping fingers crossed!
well YEAH for good interest!! I hope that everything works out!

Tried it ... don't think it worked like it was supposed to... still plan to use it to finish the sketch and then go on to this one... got a great idea of something to stamp with while I was in the kitchen!
