2009 got a "Blue Moon" Send Off. "The New Year's Eve full moon is what's known as a blue moon, because it's the second full moon in a month." Vancouver Sun It happens once every 2.5 years

So let's give 2009 a "Blue Moon" send off! Whether you scrap some FAVORITE picts of 2009, a unique event or your NYE Pictures let's send off 2009 with our own "Blue Moon". Of course, your page will need BLUE somewhere on it!

How many times as Moms, Aunts, Girls and Friends have we heard those words? Come and play with me. In honor of our exercise kick off (Jan 5) our next challenge is all about PLAY!! We're looking for a page (or pages) that show "play". It can be scrappin' play, craftin' play, game play, park play or just fun family play time. Show off you play picts! I challenge you to add: BUTTONS. They can be real or "faux" (fake).

What a GREAT NYD Scrappin' and Stampin'! Sorry this challenge is a couple minutes late, I got lost in reminiscing ... through my scrap bucket! So I challenge you to pull out your scrap bucket/box/folder/envelope/tub...and reminisce. Find your favorites or ones that became your favorites and complete a page/pages or card using those left overs. Bonus: Use a sketch or scraplift a page or card layout you've done before!

Something Borrowed!

You know the saying, "Something Old (challenge #3), Something New (challenge #2), Something Borrowed ... Something Blue "(challenge #1) Well, it's time to "Borrow" a Challenge. I'm not sure if you were here or not but they had an Impromptu NYE Card Challenge. One of the challenges by Faith (Markie's Mom) was to create a card inspired from one of the Bowl Game names! What a GREAT Idea! So we're going to "borrow" her idea. Her post is HERE. She lists all of the Bowl Game Names to choose from.

Don't ya have anymore of those awesome beach scenery picts? I think of those when I think of Blue Moon. I'm going to do my NYE picts ... well the layout, I don't have the picts printed but I know what I want to use....;)

I'm finishing up my Swap Cards right now. I got an idea last night from one of the NYE Card Challenges.

Oh I am so happy I stumbled across this just in time! The "Blue Moon" theme is perfect to start off my baby boys album! Yeah!

When we first started talking about a "Blue Moon" challenge is reminded me of my page that I completed for one of Last Years NYD challenges....

Do you know how hard it is to get a photo of the moon? I tried last night and I got one, but it isnt the best!

I wish I had gotten a picture last night. It was very cool! I have a tripod and everything, but I was too chicken to go out in the freezing cold!! :D

I'm here for a bit. I stole the computer from my stbxdh, but I only get it while he's napping.

I'm glad you found us! This will be a GREAT challenge for the start of your baby boy album! Great Idea! My "babies" are 18 & 15 but I didn't scrap when they were little so I might just scraplift your idea if I can find those picts! :mrgreen:

I'm back from the store and have my new glasses on. Will take some getting used to (bifocals..that is). I just nuked some ham and sweet potatoes for lunch and then I have to lie down with DGS to see if I can get him to take a nap (probably not though :)) and then I'll be back!

I just realized I don't have any pictures I guess I'll have to do that shortly.

i should be here more often now, lol. I just have to get myself my own laptop.

Jodi, so sorry to hear about your stbxdh...

I'm here to scrap...kiddo's had to spend their WalMart gc's so I picked up a few things too :-) Now, I'm in on this damp, cold day to do nothing but scrap! Well, I'll have to make dinner in an hour or so...but then nothing but scrapping! My mom & DH are watching some type of football, girls are playing new DS games...so momma gets to lock herself in the room :-)

Now off to read the first challenge...

Hi, guys. I wanna play. just getting up. went to bed at 5:00 am. No, I didn't go out either. I was the only one up/home, I cleaned my scrap room, uploaded pages etc. So late start.

Ok-I am actually working on the blue moon page! I have been messing around with a template that I think I want to use this year when I attempt to take 365 pics! Anyway back I go to the page at hand! We might go down to the casinos for a bit in awhile so I may not get this finished-but it is in the works!

Oooo...I can't do those all nighters anymore...party or no party...it takes me days to recover! Doesn't it feel good when the scrap room is clean though :mrgreen:

I got the first challenge done, I'm verrry close on the second challenge, just need a title and some buttons but I have to run out and get bday supper for RD. I'll be back later.
