DEC19VSNB Land Among the Stars ~ Friday, Dec. 13 ~ 6 pm ET
Challenge Title: Land Among the Stars Hostess: mollymoo951 (Melissa) Keyword: DEC19VSNB Date: Fri, 6:00 pm ET Backstory for the challenge. In May 2018, I was blessed to receive a cochlear implant! My subsequent & continuing journey through bionic-ness - it has been quite a star studded adventure! One part of this has been attending the bi-annual Cochlear Celebration! The last event was held, where else, in star studded Nashville! Among many things, I came away from the Celebration with this quote:
Clear crisp winter nights and early morning are wonderful times for seeking out & viewing the night sky. Not only would you see a gorgeous moon, you may even see stars and planets.
Your challenge. Create a star shaped project or use stars on your project. You can make a star shaped page divider for your December Daily album, star tags for gifts, a star studded scrapbook page and, oh yeah, even a star shaped card. How about a star shaped card created using partial die cutting. You can even create a scene using the moon and the stars! How gorgeous would that be? Challenge yourself to do more than just stick one star on a card and call it done - let's make this a star studded project! Time limit. 1 hour if you make a card or tag; 2 hours if you make a scrapbook page.

Here is my starry card. Since I am a VSN mod, I knew about this in advance. I made card bases and stamped a lot, while visiting my mom over Thanksgiving week. I'll finish off 12 of these later this weekend.

Sharon! I'm always fun! My pleasure! Good to see you! Definitely make a layout! We should both make a layout! A star studded layout! Things got crazy busy and I did not get around to it! Plus, Christmas cards, ya know?
Very creative card! I have some of those crystal brads and I love them! They look awesome as ornaments on the tree!

You used some precious brilliant blue for this challenge! That is one of my favorite SU! colors. I used to call it Cub Scout blue! It's a really cute card! So cheerful!

Apologies Melissa, I've done exactly what you said not to do, just stick a star on but you will have to agree it's quite a nice star
Here it is Star of Wonder
Thanks for a fun challenge Melissa! I've been using panels I made previously for different techniques for backgrounds on my cards. It sure makes things go faster and it's lots of fun to look at my stash of backgrounds! Here's my card:
Bummer, I was really wanting to use this to knock out a gift tag for the lad staying with us...but if I do get that far later on it will be a crummy night photo till I can replace it. Second-shortest day of the year and all that.
A quick tag - but isn't that part of what VSN is for. Happy to have got something with a teen/young man feel to it! I'll take a decent photo tomorrow...time for bed here now.
