Challenge Title: Christmas in the Country Hostess: TexasGrammy Keyword:DEC18VSNO (Psssst .... Use the capital letter "Oh", not a zero.) Date: Dec. 15, 2018
This, my dear SCS friends, is the Christmas book my darling Daddy read to me a million times. He's in Heaven now, but back then we lived on a farm, and this story seemed so potentially real to me at the time! Yes, I still have my book, complete with very yellowed pages. I even found a complete preview of all the photos/pages online. Hoping to come back to add the link here. ;)
The story is set at the Grandparents' farm. According to the Grandpa, the farm animals are surely out in the barn decorating, wrapping, and sharing a delightful Christmas together! Keep in mind, the illustrations in this book are certainly older than me, so how about update those with our challenge creations?
Challenge: Show some sweet animals/critters ready or readying for Christmas - or any other celebration! (Our VSN creations do NOT have to be about Christmas.) ... ...What? ... No animal stamps? Create a country-style card that evokes a feeling of comfy-cozy at Grandma's house.

Love your challenge Sis Bev but more then that love having you along joining in with us!!! Love ya and mahalo for the help for fixing my Stitch pix. Here’s one of the 2 I made for you......,
Oh my word! Thanks for joining in to make such fun Country Christmas cards! Plus our surprise bonus .... a singing Christmas Donkey!!
I thought I had seen, uhmmmm, "heard" it all until now! hahahaha
P.S. Yes ... I adore your posts! But due to the goofy antics of the 'Like' system, I'm calling it 'out of order' for now & giving it a time-out. ;)
A couple of years ago, we had a VSN theme that was songs, maybe holiday songs. One if the challenges was inspired by this Dominick the Donkey...first time I had ever heard of it! It's cute!

What a hoot! Last time I saw a donkey, it was braying over & over & over ... way noisy for just one critter! lol
PSA: {Public Stampers' Announcement!} ;)
I'll be checking back online tomorrow after church ... or perhaps a quick peek before if possible ... but definitely after. This chick needs a pillow! G'night m'friends!
I'm hoping more players join in the VSN challenges today and this week! There's still plenty of time to play in as many challenges as you like!
Call your friends & stamp together, cyber-stamp together in a 'live chat', or jump in for yourself to get out of the winter weather & treat yourself to some creative joy.
Thanks Bev, for the trip down memory lane...those precious Little Golden Books...just the best. I took a slight detour with my project for your challenge...though I did use elements found in grandmas' home...
