Jen and I are looking for a couple of fun-loving, stamp-loving, organization-loving, on-time loving, responsiblity-loving ladies to take the VSN torch. There is a lot of "things" to do. But with the right partner, it will go very smoothly. I had a blast with Jen and our time zones are 3 hours different.
Think about your involvement in VSN...Can you Coordinate the NEXT VSN weekend? Do YOU have what it takes?
Well, there is a lot of organization and lists to make. Jen and I set up an email account that we couple both access and it made communication between hostesses and us go smoothly. Lot's of list making and compiling information. And you have to be creative geniuses to come up with a fun/funny ideas. On the weekend of VSN, you spend a lot of time on the computer. But Jen stamped a bit and I did take a couple of cat naps on Satursday in between posting.
Jen...
Want to add anything?
I really wasn't difficult but you should be comfortable with making lists, sending out PMs/emails, getting in contact with moderators and then the general...being a creative coordinator!
I can honestly say that it just isn't something I could take on right now but in the future when I know I could dedicate the time it needs you betcha!!!
About how much time would you say is involved per day in the initial planning stages......how about the two weeks before? The 24/7 during VSN I understand and could do (heck I did it this VSN as a player)!!!
Thanks for your info.........I like knowing about these things now so that in the future I know I could step up to the plate and commit with confidence, KWIM?
You both did a great job this VSN, thanks soooooo much!!

I think Jen is really busy right now, but she'll be on in a day or 2 and can maybe have a better idea of times...
The old COs sent us a bunch of files so it made it easier...we knew what we needed to make/do. Plus, I started another file of past VSN challenges (back about 6 VSNs) that will be passed on to the new COs...so there is always improvement and helps being passed forward to the next Coordinators!
Hey everyone!! I know I have been totally MIA...I'm still trying to dig out from the move. For some reason this one has been harder than any other I've ever done.
I'll try to answer your questions the best I can...
In the beginning I would work on VSN for an hour a day to 3 hours depending on what day it was, how much I felt needed to be done etc. It was only the first couple of weeks that were a bit hectic. We have tons of lists to help the next coordinators know what to do.
If you have participated in a few VSN's then you have an idea of what all has to be done.....pick a theme, find hostesses, set up the date and schedule with the powers that be, get the write ups and samples from hostesses, figure out who is doing which challenge at what time. That kind of thing.
When it actually came to the day of VSN, it was much less hectic than I ever thought it would be.
The couple of days after are also busy.....but it really was all fun work.
Dawn and I will chat in the next day or two and how about we let you all know by the end of the weekend????
I'm especially anxious to find out the DATE of the next VSN...I haven't yet been able to participate, but I REALLY want to, so that means getting it on my calendar!
