VSNMAR14E- 1 PM EST, Saturday Mar 8th - Sing, Sing a Weather Song - Cook22
Challenge Title: Sing, Sing a Weather Song
Hostess: Sabrina (aka Cook22)
Keyword: VSNMAR14E
Date: Saturday March 8th, 1 pm EST
My husband sings - all the time, everywhere. Sometimes he starts singing a song and he doesn't know why, but I can see that maybe it was triggered by an advertising hoarding or something else he's just seen. He has a song for every occasion - almost. I had to use Google to find some stormy song titles, he let me down there.
My challenge to you is to show the weather on your card, inspired by any of the following songs (or indeed, share your own favourite weather-themed song and base your card on that song).
My first instinct is always to go "somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue....", but goodness, there are a ton of weather-related songs to choose from.
Maybe “The sun is out, the sky is blue” (but I hope it’s not raining in your heart!!); maybe you’re like John Denver and “sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy”...
Maybe you’re “singing in the rain” or “summer rain is falling on my umbrella above me”...
Or maybe “rainy days and Mondays always get you down”...
Maybe the weather outside is frightful and you want to get in the mood for Christmas and “Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow”...
Maybe there’s a summer breeze making you feel fine, or a black wind blowing in the cotton field...
So, get out your macs and wellies, your sunshades and parasols, your windbreakers, shades and sunscreen for the beach, your storm clouds or fluffy white ones, your rainbows and raindrops - and sing along while you create your weather-themed card!
***Remember to share the weather-themed song that inspired you***

5. Please do not combine VSN challenges...but you may combine any other challenges with a VSN challenge!
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this challenge thread to be sure your layout is seen ;) .
THANKS SO MUCH FOR PLAYING ALONG!!
Hi everybody!!
I hope you have fun with this challenge.
If you're thinking of being inspired by one of my "rainy " songs, why don't you hop over to today's Inspiration Challenge. Audrie has some totally beautiful and inspiring pins on her Pinterest board, and it's perfectly OK to combine a VSN challenge with any other non-VSN challenge so long as you stick to the VSN guidelines (mostly that you complete it in under an hour, excluding inspiration, colouring and drying time). I had a ball over in the IC today and have made cards from it for two of the VSN challenges going live later.
Very fun ... now off to see what stamps I have (besides snow flakes, LOL) that go with a song and ... to find a card sketch
Hey nothing wrong with "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow", or maybe you could build a snowman. Snow is weather too ;). Ask Lee - it's her favourite!!

True ... but after the winter we've had, not to mention 50 yesterday and 32 today....I went with "rain" songs as I'm wishing for Spring
I wasn't home when your challenge went up, and now I am behind! I just finished the Grays challenge. Here is what my area looks like! I have to clean it up before I try any more cards!
Call that a mess, Sharon, LOL. Mine still looks like that and that's after half an hour tidying it . I'll look forward to seeing what song inspires you!

I'm trying to mix it up with Mix-Ability every Friday (little behind!)
Hi Sabrina and everyone here is my card Blow-in in the Wind , once I saw Bob Dylan in your list Sabrina I realizes there were probably songs from Peter Paul and Mary that I could have used.
Thanks for all your help, hope you like the card. ;)
Cheers
