*** SEPTVSNJ 11:15 p.m. Spotlight is on YOU ***
Heeeeeeey Ladies!!!!! I know that all of you have been stamping your hearts out tonight and are ready for the next challenge! I hope that all of you are having a blast!!! I know that I am!!!!
We all love to be in the spotlight, right? Well the Spotlight is on YOU for this challenge! Thats right. We are going to be doing the spotlight technique. There are two different versions of this, and you can do either one. There is the regular spotlight and the reverse spotlight. If you have not done this yet, here is how
Regular Spotlight Stamp your main image twice on the same paper, usually a neutral color. One will be your main image for your card and the other will be for your spotlight. Then choose a part of the second image and either cut it out or use a punch. You will color the part you cut out, then mat it, and glue it to the other image you stamped so that the images match up. Add it to your card and embellish as you like.
Reverse Spotlight Take your top layer (usually neutral) and punch out circles, squares, etc. all over. Then take a dark color and stamp on that top layer. Take that same image and same dark ink and stamp on different color cardstock and you can either cut out the image and layer behind the top layer of cardstock, matching up the design or you can do what I did and leave the full color behind it.
Please, remember to put SEPTVSNJ as your keyword so I can find your card for judging!!! Also, make sure it is in CAPITAL LETTERS!!!
What are you waiting for, you silly girls? Its not bedtime yet! Go stamp!
Let me know if you have any questions!
***Hostesses You can play too!!! I will also be judging your creations and award a prize to my favorite!!! This prize will come directly from me J
So on the second card all the circles are stamped with different cardstock? It matches so well I can't tell it is a different layer.
nope, I punched out different sized circles. then stamped the images on the white CS. Then stamped hte same image on a colored CS and placed behind the white. lining up the images.
Does that help?

It does not look like him! I just watched Sahara last weekend and seriously he looks different, or maybe it is because your avatar is so small and my eyes are wigging out because they have been looking at this screen for hours . . . DOH!
YES HE IS A HOTTIE  Don't tell my DH I said that ;)

LOL. Dont worry I won't tell. My DH already knows i "love" him - Matthew, that is.... LOL!!! yeah, maybe I will have to find another one. No good ones of him with his shirt off though....hmmmmmmmmmmmm.. I will keep trying!!
LOL, I have never done this technique before and I did it for the first time in another challange tonight! That just cracks me up, or am I just giddy from all the time I get to STAMP!!! LOL
Well this is my first attempt at spotlighting! I always wanted to try it! So thanks for giving me the nudge to do it. I am not that happy with it...I think it looks wierd or something. But you are right - I do want to make a ton more now! Practice makes perfect! Right?
I loved this last challenge. I'd never spotlighted before and I love how it turned out! I will definitely use this technique over and over again. Now let's see if I can upload. That may be the biggest challenge of the night!! Thankfully I'm in So Cal so its not that late!! I think I'll download my best ones first.
On to Matthew...I was at a Dodgers game last year...in the really good seats...and he was directly behind us. I was actually shocked that I had better seats than him. Each inning I told my DH I had to go to the bathroom just so I could stare as I walked towards him. He is just as hot in person!!! I think my DH caught on about the fourth or fifth time!! Matthew was very nice also...he signed autographs between every inning for kids.
