FEB11VSNK ~ Saturday, Feb 26 ~ 6:00pm EST ~ Heart On Your Sleeve
Title: Heart On Your Sleeve
Hostess: snail (Linda)
Keyword: FEB11VSNK
Day/Date: Sat, Feb 26
Time: 6 pm EST
People sometimes wear their heart on their sleeve; theyre so transparent, which makes me think of vellum. Your challenge is to make a card or project using vellum, but it has to be embossed with either a dry or heat embossing technique.
VIEW THE GALLERY FOR THIS CHALLENGE HERE
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 8:00 PM EST on Monday, February 28.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, FEB11VSNK, when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
4. Please remember that you cannot combine VSN challenges.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your project is seen.
For my sample card, I embossed the vellum pocket with the Scor-Pal:

I had never embossed vellum before! This was a bit of a challenge and my card's messier than I like.....I'll have to keep practicing!

Here's mine...I got frustrated with the vellum tape runner...didn't work well, and the adhesive shows, but I guess I'll deal with it!

I still don't find chocolate appetising. this is not a good thing. hot cocoa is okay, so that's a start. but regular chocolate? the thought still turns my stomach.

So, the answer is yes, you can do it with vellum, however, plain vellum rips pretty easily and vellum card stock (shown in pic) takes a little more to work around. Overall, I tried to make 5 in about what - 8 minutes? This included FINDING the vellum too
The vellum CS must have glue to hold it, and since I'm not patient, I opted for a pearl stick pin.
Enjoy!
