Title: Pirate Spyglass
Hostess: Sheila, squrlesmom
Keyword: MAY11VSNN
Day/Date: Saturday, May 21st
Time: 9PM EDT
Ahoy Maties! I'll be the cap'n on your next high seas adventure. Your challenge to is to make a card using your virtual spyglass to focus on one area of your image.
The
spotlighting technique reminds me of looking through the spyglass highlighting a circle within the image. The instructions for Beate's Spotlighting technique are detailed
HERE .
Please remember that you cannot combine VSN challenges if you wish to be eligible for any recognition, awards, and/or prizes, so what are you waiting for? Let's set sail!!
VIEW THE GALLERY FOR THIS CHALLENGE
HERE
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 8 PM EST ON Monday, May 23.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, MAY11VSNN, when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your card is seen.
Here is the sample I made using the spot lighting technique.

I first learned the spotlight technique during a VSN several years ago. It's still one of
I Spy Flowers! by casep - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers favorite techniques. Thanks, Sheila! Here's my card:

I've really loved playing along with these great challenges. Spotlighting is something I think I have only done once before. I thought the cat image in the Peace Within set was the ideal subject.
Thanks for organizing these great challenges.

I made it through 12 of the VSN challenges and am really happy with that number. I had to finish my photography, editing and uploading this morning.
Thanks to all the hostesses. I had a great time and have a stash of wonderful cards on hand.
