Title: Drip, Drop!
Hostess: ckbythesea ~ Carole K.
Keyword: MAY10VSNO (Be careful! This is a TRICKY Keyword)
Day/Date: Saturday,May 29th
Time: 9:00 PM EDT
May’s many showers sometimes end suddenly, breaking to warm glorious sunshine. Still wet, everything glistens as it drips, drops, and starts to dry . . .
My challenge is to use the Babywipe Technique to create a piece for a card or other project. You will need dye ink refills (drip, drop ;)) and baby wipes. No wipes? I tried using a dampened paper towel for the technique and made THIS CARD
VIEW THE GALLERY FOR THIS CHALLENGE HERE UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Monday May 31st.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, MAY10VSNO , when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your creation is seen.

Yes, this wouldn't be easy to do one-handed! Hope Baby is happy now!
Wheee! That was fun! My fingers look awful though - I hope I can them clean before church tomorrow. And I have one question... Who's going to clean my craft areas that look like a tornado came through here? I started out trying to put things away, but that didn't last long. LOL! Anyway, here's my Inky Birthday.

Well, yes, VSN does tend to make your stamp space look like a tornado came through!! That's when you know you've had a successful and fun VSN!
I wish I had been able to come up with something besides ink refills for the technique, but I couldn't think of anything. :???: Sorry! If anyone else has a suggestion, please share!
Not sure if it would work but worth a try, could you scribble some marker pens on different parts of a piece of acetate or something similar and then using an aquapainted to mix them together in certain areas? You would still get some ink in the proper colours and some mixed colours like you get with the refills. Don't mix with your markers though as the colours might mess up your pens.
Just one thing I could think of.
Hope that helps. I might try it myself later to see if it does work.

I'm not really sure if I understand, but I think I will if I take a close look at the tutorial. Thanks for your idea!

it didn't work for me, but i was using a clear stamp. :(
I don't know what I did wrong, but, maybe didn't use enought ink? Anyway I have submitted my flop anyway. Here is Green Butterfly.
I have officially finnished all the challenges! One more card to load up!
Someone congratulate me! First time I have completed every challenge.
I managed to get a few more VSN challenges done today... I have never tried the baby wipe technique. My wipe was kinda dry... my first attempt didn't look filled in enough... so I had to spray some water, and then not be so stingy with my reinkers. I stamped another image to make another card, since I had the "pad" ready. Thanks for the fun challenge!

No such thing as flops! Congratulations on completing all the challenges, that is quite an accomplishment! If you're like me after VSN I have to spend hours cleaning up the mess!
Heavily improvised as no baby wipes or re-inkers. Used kitchen roll (which I made too wet, lesson learned) and poured on shimmer mists. I do like the effect though and there are some really beautiful examples in the gallery.
The last technique was just beginner messy compared to this one! Holy cow. I am now the proud owner of a mysterious purple and pink splotch on my table. What fun!
