MARCH12VSNE ~ Friday, March 9th ~ 9:00 PM ~ Rain, Rain Go Away
Title: Rain, Rain Go Away Hostess: Lisa (helmts1981) Keyword: MAR12VSNE Day/Date: Friday, MARCH 9th Time: 9:00pm EST
In sunny California we are actually wishing for some rain but I know some places really want it to go away! Gloomy, rainy days are the inspiration for this challenge.
My challenge is for you to make a sympathy card. This can be a get well, sorry for your loss, loss of a pet, etc., type of card!
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00PM EST ON MONDAY, MARCH 12th.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put the correct keyword, MAR12VSNE, when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
4. Remember not to combine VSN challenges.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this thread to be sure your card is seen.
Hi all! I really, really despise making sympathy cards and when I need them I NEVER have them on hand which is why I thought of this challenge! Hope you all have fun with it!
I'm offended! lol! :p (just kidding!)
I've been working too hard to chat or upload photos! Guess after this challenge I'll have a chance to upload. Having tons of fun though!

Rain!!!! Hi!!!! I was thinking of you earlier and wondered if you were playing!!! I am playing and messing up!!! What was in my head and on my sketch pad just didn't make a good card for the last challenge. :( I guess I will try something TOTALLY different later! Bummer spending 45 minutes and it doesn't turn out! LOL
Here's my submission. I used my fav birdie stamp on this. I could have used this one for the spring cleaning challenge cuz I had to reallY "dig" out my sympathy stamp set.

great cards ladies. I will play along this weekend as I have time. I just got back from a very nice date with my husband and I had a glass of wine, well I must be old because I need to go to sleep NOW!!!
Am I the only one blocked from Stacy's cards? I haven't been able to see one of her creations.
I hope you change the settings so I can see what you have made
Here is my Sympathy Blossoms. Thank you for hostessing the challenge. I needed a sympathy card to put in the mail tomorrow. I had a cousin pass away yesterday and am sending several sympathy cards to several of the family.

When I saw the title of the challenge, I was thinking I'd be breaking out my umbrella stamps, and when I read the challenge I knew just what to do! I've been meaning to make a post-sympathy card for a 9 year old whose mom passed away a month ago. This was just the inspiration I needed to get it done.
Lisa, Thanks for hosting this challenge! Here is my card. I kept is plain and simple. I tried a black and white ribbon but did not like it and also decided NOT to color the flowers. TFL
This was a good challenge for me, because this stamp set has been very neglected, and this type of card is good to have on hand, hard to make one when you need it.
I used the Love and Sympathy set for the first time for the focal image. I didn't use the sentiment that comes with the set, though - I used "Loving Thoughts". I did use the other sentiment for the inside:

We'd done this one for a paper tricks afternoon, so it's not a new design... I love the message, though. And goodness knows, there's frequently an abundance of puddles in the Pacific Northwest!
This was a great idea. I have not stamped in a long time (over a year) and working with the challenges has really made a great evening. I look forward to tomorrow. My card stash was really low but now I will have something to pull from when I need them.
Thanks so much for all the work that has gone into the set up and creation of this Virtual Stamp Night.
