Challenge Title: The Jolly Postman
Hostess: Rebekah (luvtostampstampstamp)
Keyword: DEC18VSNG Date: Saturday, December 15 1 pm EST
The Jolly Postman is a holiday children’s book full of envelopes with removable notes and letters in all shapes and sizes.
Challenge: Create a card that goes beyond just the standard card shape. Make a card of any size and/or shape. (just not the standard 5.5x4.25 size!!)
SCS is full of inspiration from past challenges and tutorials!
Bonuses:Include more than just the standard front/inside sentiment. What about the left side of the inside of the card that is often left blank. Or the middle of the back of your card? Maybe a little poem, saying or image to brighten those spots! Jazz up your envelope as a fun option too. Make that postman(woman) smile... as time allows of course! (remember that 1 hour card making allotment)
Your card can be for any holiday!
SUMMARY: Make a card of any size/shape, just not standard card size. Any holiday. BONUS: Sentiments/quotes/poems in often left blank places of a card, and jazz up that envelope if time allows.
*My card was made with the largest Nestabilities scalloped circle! I placed the die just above my fold line.
**The little card is a 4x4 size.
***The photos below show my cards and the book this challenge is based on, along with a few cards from the book. Let inspiration and creativity take you away for an hour!

I wish I could share two little baggies of chocolate goodness my DH brought be from the local natural foods store just now. For my fun afternoon here!!! He's a gem, let me tell ya'!
Thank you Ann! I love that card and that reminds me I need to check the Silhouette site today for their sales and maybe some vinyl for a sled I need to put "WELCOME" on!
Chocolate....yum.....I just went around the neighborhood with my daughter delivering chocolate she sold as a school fundraiser and it all smelled divine! It was a chocolate brand that is very famous in our area and for good reason!
I had to jump in late so I am going to get right to this!
Aww, thanks!! You are so thoughtful! All is quiet upstairs right now. Since it's so mild out today, DH is washing one of the vehicles I believe and he must have gathered the littles up and out with him lol!!! And my 15 year old unless she is hiding in her bedroom lol! This is such a luxury for me!
I did one that I hope qualifies. It just took minutes, but watched the video a lot of times! My laptop is acting up, so can’t upload, I can’t even get to the photo to edit the photo. When I figure it out I will upload it.
Salted chocolate covered toffee and dark chocolate toffee almonds!! My two absolute favorites that they carry in the bulk department.
Rebekah.....yum, yum, yum....I just read this and I am now wanting to run to my choccie basket. I love salted caramel choccies and any kind of chocolate nut...these sound divine. Enjoy them all.

Rebekah, here's my card. It's for our DGS and when I read your challenge I knew that I wanted to make something quirky for him. He's got an inquisitive mind and loves things that are different.
It's nothing elaborate like the other ladies made, and I simply took some leftover scrap papers I had that look like jeans and sewed the ribbon through...very roughly as you can see LOL. The size is 6x8.
I cut out the tag and popped this into one of the pockets. On the back of the tag I've asked my GS whether he has been naughty or nice this year and he is to tick a box LOL. I've tried to make the card interactive for him. The reindeers and lights were die cut and I wanted Santa to be holding onto them somehow.
Inside I've drawn a map (he loves maps and quizzes) and he has to find Santa's missing sack in the maze. Haven't shown a photo of this as it's very rough and hand-drawn. I stamped Merry Xmas Grandson on the right side. On the back I decided to go with the gingerbread man and the cupcake die and stamped a quote on there that I thought appropriate for him. Thanks for the challenge.
Happy day
