DEC17VSNC ~ Canasta Meld by annsforte3 ~ Friday, Dec. 08, 2017 ~ 7 P.M. ET
Challenge Title: Canasta Meld
Hostess: annsforte3 aka Ann
Keyword: DEC17VSNC
Date: Friday, December 08, 2017, 7:00 P.M. Eastern
How many of you know the game, Canasta? My spouse and I would play this game all the time with his family!! Many hours of wonderful fun!!
The object of the game is to score points by melding cards. A valid meld consists of three or more cards of the same natural rank (any rank from four up to ace), such as three kings, six fives, etc. When playing with partners, melds belong to a partnership, not to an individual player. They are kept face up in front of one of the partners. A meld of seven cards is called a canasta.
So, this brings me to my challenge!! You must form a meld on your card!!
Using the same stamp, stamp at least three times across or down your card.
You may stamp additional times, but it must be using the same stamp!! You may use an image or sentiment stamp for this challenge. Let's see if anyone can get a "canasta" on their cards, that is seven of the same stamp!!
Have fun with this and combine it with any other technique that you love to do! Extra virtual points if you make this a holiday card!

Thank you to all of my wonderful fellow hostess and sample makers!!
Gotta say, repeated stamping is a whole lot easier with a MISTI, or at least a stamp positioned...! Here's mine, still with a bunco theme. btw, after last Monday's bunco, I collected these cards after they'd been used. I'll use the backs for other card projects!

I had a stamp set in mind for this, but had loaned it to our religious ed coordinator last weekend. She just brought it back tonight! (Yes, I prompted her...she had 2 punches and 2 inks too! LOL I emphasized the *urgency*
;)

Ann, my mom and her friends used to play canasta when I was a kid. I never learned how to play though -- I didn't even know as much as you explained here. Fun to find out, even tho mom has been gone for 25 years now.
Sandy, it is a fun game!! We played it so often with my spouse's family!
I would call it an old fashion game! My MIL used to play with all of her friends, they would put money in for dues each time they got together. When they had enough they would all go out to eat at a nice restaurant!
We cousins used to play Canasta at my grandma’s when I was in grade school. There were about twelve of us and grandma would set up two or three card tables in the basement to play while the adults were upstairs visiting! Haven’t played it since then! . It is a fun memory, but I don’t remember how to play!

This was a fun challenge Ann. I hope partial images count -- I stamped the image six times. I had planned to do it a seventh time on the top panel, then changed my mind and added the embellie. Here's what I'm talking about.
