Oh, it doesn't start until 3pm.....that's too bad....my friend probably won't have time to come over...she has dinner plans related to her DH's work both nights :(
I needed to have paid better attention to the time thing! Perhaps a flashing neon sign might help me ;) ?
I've never done a VSN - maybe I can find time this month!

You were paying attention. The time wasn't announced earlier. That later start works better for me, since lunch is out of the way and the rest of the clan goes to the athletic club on Sat. eve and eat after, so I don't need to cook.
Ooh, I thought I was going to miss a lot of Saturday because of a baby shower for my DIL. But it's over at 2:00 Eastern time. That gives me two hours to get home and set up!
I'm just trying to find out about the time differences between European Daylight Saving Time and CST - difficult job despite your enclosed time zone link (at least to me at this early morning hour in Europe...need some more coffee...) - should be seven hours time difference? Let's see if I can stay awake and creative...Would love to take part in the challenges!

First of all, ANYONE can play, there is no registration or fee and you can do as many or as few challenges as you’d like. Whether you are a new stamper or a seasoned vet, VSN will get you to try new things and get your creativity flowing. Most importantly, VSN is all about fun!
Challenges are posted every hour, on the hour (during the specified times), and players have 45 minutes to complete the challenges. The 45 minutes begins when you start your challenge, so if you don't play a challenge right when it is posted, it is okay, go back and play later. You have until Sunday evening to have all of your cards posted.
There will be a master thread for the challenges, and also, there will be a chat thread for each challenge. The hostess for each challenge will be monitoring her thread to answer any questions that you may have about a particular challenge, and you can contact the coordinators (myself and peggysue) at any time if you have a question. We are all here to help make this as easy and as fun as possible.
Anymore questions? I am happy to answer any questions you have.
SO, IT'S TIME TO GET SOME MAJOR CHATTER GOING HERE GIRLS AND DON'T FORGET TO GET OUT THERE AND COMMENT SO FOLKS CAN SEE THE VSN IN YOUR SIGGY LINE. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE WEEK-END.

I am so ready! I can't believe this, but my mom and dad are taking my 3 girls to their camp house this weekend. They'll be gone Thursday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. As excited as I am to stamp, I am nervous about the girls not being here with me. They've gone away with them before for the weekend and I get nervous every time. It's because I am with them 24/7 and used to having them around! I am looking forward to VSN, though! The big question is do I get chocolate?????? Hmmmm......

Oh, I can answer that question... YES!! Lots and LOTS of chocolate!!!
I am glad that you get to play, without any distractions, although I am sorry that you will miss your girlies so much... it will go by quickly and you will all have a great time.
This sounds like lots of fun. I will try to make it. My brother will be here this weekend, but usually he does not care. He'd rather play with the kids.:0)

There is a new informational thread mostly (gracefully) copied from our previous coordinators with all the information you need to know about VSN. If you have a question, ask us! See the sticky at the top of the forum.
I have to go with another child to buy school supplies . . .
There's no clocking in or out since you can do the challenges at any time during the weekend. A little egg timer on your work station is really helpful though - just start it when you start each challenge.
It's been forever since I've participated in a virtual event, it was so much fun! I've been kinda stuck in a fog, so this is coming at just the right time for me! DH is out of town, DD will be with a friend this weekend, that just leaves me and my 4 yr old son.... I just might be able to play along! How fun is this???
Thank you ladies for working so very hard to bring this event to us! I am really looking forward to the challenges and hope I can dive in to a few!
Once I get a Pasta Salad made on Friday, I will have the night free to stamp !!!!
But Saturday I will be joining in late since I have a family picnic to go to first. Usually the younger nephews take over my BIL's computer to play video games, I wonder how loud they would squawk if I plopped down and tuned the puter in to VSN, lol !

I say GO FOR IT!!! Plop down and enjoy! You know, that pasta salad sound really yummy! I haven't made any in a couple of months. Guess now I have to stop at the grocery store tomorrow on my way back from Archivers where I have to grab a few VSN supplies! LOL

This sounds like alot of fun! I'm new too, is there really a list of supplies we should have? I'm out in the country, close's town (craft store is 3 hours). I would like to do this if I don't have to can veggies from the garden.
