I am not very talented when it comes to cooking...I always go to some old stand-bys when asked to bring a dish to a party. But for this special VSN Culinary Extravaganza, I have decided to whip up something I never have before...swiss cheese fondue!
And my recipe is really simple for all of you Cooking-Challenged Chefs, like me! Go get creative with your regular old hole punch! The kind that you have laying around the office....you know,
pre-Marvy Uchida days, hee! You can also use an eyelet setter or some other very small hole punching tool.
And if you are feeling hungry...I have included what looks like a yummy and EASY recipe for the REAL thing:
Swiss Cheese Fondue
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EDT ON (SUNDAY, JULY 19th (for Soups/Salads/Cheese mini).
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword (AUG09VSNPOT1) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
4. It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in the chat thread just in case the gallery is being testy.
As hostesses we get to see the challenges early! Hee hee! So I had swiss cheese for lunch today . . . you can see our samples for encouragement in the gallery.
Anyone remember sticking their tongues through the (swiss cheese) holes when they were little?
okay...who still does it?
I didn't and don't stick my tongue through the holes, I try to eat just the holes....made bigger holes that I had to eat....and bigger holes.....what can I say, I'm strange.

I haven't played in VSN for soooooooo long. This challenge is a great start!! The only problem is that I have to figure out how to download from my new camera........or should I say that I need my hubby to learn how to download.
So cheers to all tonight .... and off I go and clean my desk and play.
So happy to be here, now if we are talking wine, hum, I'll take any kind of merlot please. I'm glad to be here, will have to read the instructions again...punch and what else...
Maybe an apple martini, Shannon? I just harvested me a bunch of those, giggle!
Nice!!!! I have the mix, but no vodka in the house. I just went and grabbed a Miller Chill so I'm good to go now. Just need to find a hunky bartender to serve me wine and cheese on VSN nights....

Hi Nancy!!!!! Welcome to the party! Don't bother to clean up first....just jump in and play.
Too much people leaving town for their summer vacations....not to worry, I'll put some food in him and he should be good for an hour or so. :p I'm getting fast to work now Kelly, I mean to fun!!! FUN!!! FUN!!!

Thanks for the fun idea! Your apple tree is a great take on this...some ideas running around in my head now, as I'm out to continue some weeding...I'll hope to make something up tonight.
