Eric Carle is a well known writer and illustrator of beautiful children’s picturebooks. Perhaps his most well known book is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". His illustrations are collage style created from tissue paper he paints with various tools. Each piece of tissue is colored with tones of a single color using stripes, swirls, and splotches. He then cuts shapes out of various colors to create his images. His collages are vibrant and whimsical and I love them! To learn more about Eric Carle, you can visit his website and see examples of his illustrations at www.eric-carle.com.
My challenge to you is to use a watercoloring technique on your card. There many ways to watercolor on your cards, please use your favorite method. If you are new to watercoloring or want to try a new method, here are some tutorials:

Yay, Kandi! Feeding the baby, at the moment, but I'm going to work on it soon!

Kim! So nice to see you here and stamping! How's your poor foot?
Very sore, but finally out of the cast. Its not healed, but its healing....very slowly. Thanks for asking, Michelle. You know nothing would keep me away from VSN, though.
I love Eric Carle's work! I had so much fun creating these flowers the same way he does! Great challenge, Kandi!

I love watercoloring, so this was MY challenge!! Thank you!
Nevertheless, I had a hard time taking a photo of this card - it doesn't show the glitter and the subtle colors... Sorry, dh (my photograph guru) is still lying in the hospital with his kidney transplantation :( , I'm sure he would have known how to "catch" it, but so you have to imagine what you can't see on the photo!
I hope you like it though!

I was just reading an Eric Carle book to my 2 year old nephews a few weeks ago! My DD and DS are both teenagers, so I had nearly forgotten the style of his artwork!
