When you look in your closet, do you see mix-matched clothes jumbled all over the place? Or, does everything seem to match up and go-together well? Maybe a little of both? To me, half the fun of getting dressed is putting together new combinations of pants, shirts, etc.
My challenge to you tonight is to use paper-piecing to coordinate an outfit for your stamped image! Choose a stamp image that is wearing clothes (for example, Bella or children, etc.), or another type of solid stamp and then choose some coordinating decorative paper. Paper-piece the DP onto your stamped image for your card. There is no actual tutorial for paper-piecing, but here are some quick instructions that I found in a technique challenge from several years ago:
Step 1. Stamp your image that will use the paper piecing twice, once on neutral cardstock and once on patterned cardstock or paper. You can use a print paper or create your own.
Step 2. Cut out the part of the patterned image that will be pieced onto the neutral image. You can cut on just the inside or even a bit outside of the line. Apply your adhesive and put in place.
Step 3. Finish your card with your image and embellishments and such, just like usual.

Great challenge! I stayed up just to see your card. The thumbnail is really neat! Maybe I can play tomorrow! But off to bed now! I hope that are lots of cards uploaded!
Woohoo! What a way to finish our fabulous VSN. You've all been busy all weekend creating, now you can piece together some fun new outfits! Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Great challenge Sondra, I do have a tiny bit of a problem, I don't have any clothes type stamps! YIKES! May have to come up with something for an animal stamp that I have...
I have the same problem Stacy has... Have to really really dig for stamps that are "dressed". It may take me 45 minutes just to find one Let's see what I can come up with.

Stacey,
you can use almost ANYTHING for paper piecing. Flowers? Birds?

You can paper piece other things, as well. I paper pieced a present one time. Or you could piece an animal, the head of a flower, I'm sure I could think of something else, too!
I am so bummed, I have always wanted to try this. I was getting ready for the challenge to be posted and thought I'd go get a couple little brownies while I was waiting. Well I slit my finger opened on the plastic packaging..... Heck you didn't think I made them did you? Scissors will just have to wait till morning. :(
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
OK... This is the first time I've done this and I just did my first piece and I'm hooked!!! This is AWESOME!!! Way cool... Of course, for tonight, we're doing simple... it's late... I'm tired... Be posting soon (I hope).

I love paper piecing! I do it quite often, usually for my friends' scrapbook pages. The challenge here was finding a stamp with clothes. Lizzy Ladybug fit the bill. Here's my card: Fashion Bug by casep at Splitcoaststampers

Next time, I'll choose bigger pieces to cut if it is this late at night. Eyes didn't want to focus on the tiny pieces. However, this was fun. Than you for the challenge.
Not the best picture but at least the piecing came out alright.
