APR08VSNL ~ Saturday 4pm ~ 1-2 Buckle My Shoe Chat Thread
Title: 1-2 Buckle My Shoe
Hostess: Kandi/kandicejo
Keyword: APR08VSNL
Date/Time: Saturday, April 5th, 4 p.m. EDT/ 1 p.m. PDT
Check out the gallery for this challenge
HERE
Buckles have been around for, well, for a long time! They started off life as functional pieces, but these days buckles are mostly used for decoration. They can be found on shoes and boots, purses and bags, clothing, even jewelry. And I love them! I find myself always attracted to items that have buckle details on them, especially shoes and bags.
My challenge to you is to incorporate a buckle as the focal point on your card. If you dont have a buckle, other hardware is fine just make sure it's NOT something too small like a brad. I'm looking for it to be more substantial as the focal point . You can even steal hardware from your real life accessories. There are tons of fun hardware accessories out there, so quit hoarding it and use it on your cards! **NOTE** This challenge is about using hardware, NOT to create a Buckle Technique card.
Thanks for playing my challenge and have fun! I cant wait to see what you create.
***ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 11:00 PM EDT ON SUNDAY, APRIL 6th***
**You have 45 minutes to complete this challenge.**
Uploading Instructions:
*Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. If you are using additional keywords, you must separate them with a comma. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
*It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in the chat thread just in case the gallery is being testy.

Kandi,
Great challenge. I had some ribbon from cards I made for a swap and thought it might work for this challenge. Keeping with the bright colors we have had in most of the challenges.
Here is my

Welcome to my challenge! Sorry for the technical errors. I had trouble adding my thumbnail and deleted the ones Denise added. They should appear again shortly.

I have lots of hoarded hodgepodge hardware kits.
Time to catch up after unloading slate tiles from hubby's truck. Darn household responsibilities are getting in the way of my fun!!

This was such a fun challenge and I had almost as much fun looking through my stash for the perfect buckle as I did making the card. Here is mine...

Hope this is a buckle! Hard to see for my scanner, but I was OK with it. Not really sure though...
