I'm posting a couple minutes early because I think I'm about to get kicked off SCS. I just get a feeling from my computer's behaviour.
Your challenge from me is to use dryer sheets in any way you want on your card.
So, go to your laundry pile (we all have one somwhere waiting to be folded) and pull out a USED dryer sheet.
There are at least three things you can do with a used dryer sheet...
1) stamp an image on cardstock. Take that dryer sheet and iron it lightly if need be to get it smooth and flat. Using a xyron, spray adhesive or a glue stick, adhere right over the top of your stamped image. Trim the edges of the dryer sheet even with the stamped piece or fold the dryer sheet around to the back and adhere. I have heard that you can sprinkle glittler on top of the dryer sheet and some will adhere through the tiny holes in the dryer sheet.
2) stamp directly onto the dryer sheet and use as a layer.
3) use the dryer sheet as a substitute for mulberry paper. You can use it as is, brayer it to color it, or dye the dryer sheet with a few drops of reinker in a plastic baggie.
If you don't have a dryer sheet (some of us don't use them, and someone may have run out in the Christmas rush for baking, wrapping, shopping, Christmas card making, calendar making, visiting.....), then use something else similar. You could use a kleenex or toilet paper if you have nothing else.
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
Remember when you upload your card to the gallery, to type JANVSNI as the keyword
I did the Xyron technique...exactly what I needed...an excuse to go buy a Xyron!! Mine actually ended up working better with a new dryer sheet. And of course, it smells April fresh!!! AND I have glitter everywhere!!!
i dont own dryer sheets.. and i am outta kleenex.. figures!!!
oh well.. ill use this time to upload i guess..
looks beautiful though.. maybe i should find someone who uses them.. so i can steal some for later.. haha.

What a gorgeous card! I've never even considered buying a Xyron, but after sseing your card, and another recently, it's creeping onto my wish list.
Thanks Tammy, not only have you entered my challenge, but you're making me spend money too!;)

Here's a simple one I did with the dryer sheet over the image. I did one for Christmas that I liked better, but copying myself isn't really a challenge!
Ok, this one came out really great and I am proud of it! I stmped the stippled stencils graped on the sheet underneath and also ont he dryer sheet over the top. The square shadow stamp is only on the cs layer. I got the idea for the background from a card I saw here a while back, but cannot remember who made it and have no time to find it now... Trying to catch up!! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Here's mine.
I cut the dryer sheets into strips and then used a sponge and dyed them to the eggplant and olive and used it like ribbon.
Fun challenge!!
This is the second challenge for me!!! So FUN! Who dreamed this up????? I love this site Will have to post it later..too much fun stamping! Can we do this every weekend??

Sorry, I am late, but badmom66666 told me this hilarious story about a dum dum sucker and I laughed so hard I fell out of the chair and broke my hip, the paramedics came, I flirted with them for awhile, they said something about a "drama Queen" and left, so then I flew right over on my broom;) Oh, yeah, here's mine, sorry, I am still stuck in Christmas mode, but love the challenge. I used the dryer sheet as my snow.

Thank goodness for the Xyron! I used my dryer sheet and paper peiced it on to this wedding/shower card. Also sprinkled rose glitter on it to make it pop. Hope you like it.
