I've never participated in VSN before. Today I'm suppose to be takeing it easy and staying down....I've had a rough week and dh and mom are wanting me to get some rest and relaxation.
I am just waiting for 3pm to rolll around!!!!!! AHHHH
I am so glad I checked the thread, I knew about the 7th, but didn't know it started so early. I will probably have to wait until the evening to participate with the little ones around it is hard to stamp. But I will catch up on the early challenges. I have my timer on the stamp table, sometimes I am so worried that I am taking too much time that I get distracted!

Well, you'd better pace yourself! VSN is not really the place for rest & relaxation! You've got a couple more hours to rest so I hope your feet are up right now! I sure hope your stamping area is not upstairs from your computer like mine is! Have fun tonite!

I came home late last night and saw the earlybird challenges so I had to create!!!
I need to walk away from SCS for a little while (that's the hard part!!) so I can be ready

okay, I think I am ready, I got DH to help me take the Christmas tree (I know it is Jan) down early so I would be able to start . . . . now to talk him into Pizza for dinner, I know, I should have planned ahead!

I just realized I might have a stampers handicap! My Embossing Gun blew up, and my new one wont be here till thursday~~~
You could VERY CAREFULLY hold your work over the burner on your stove or way above an open flame on a candle. Just have a fire extenguisher (sp) handy. ;)
I went upstairs to grab some plastic wrap and all we have is that new sticky stuff. Who woulda thought! A house with no plastic wrap!??!
Oh and I have no bubble wrap.

Bubble wrap was used on one of the challenges last night....maybe we won't need it tonight?????

Last night was my first, and it was a blast! :mrgreen: Can't wait for tonight, though the toothpaste is scaring me, LOL!
I think I scared a lady at Walmart last night. She was stocking in the toothpaste aisle and I was asking her if she knew which toothpastes were white. I swear she thought I was crazy.....and DH was standing there rolling his eyes and making fun (in the most loving way possible )
I'm really confused now. I thought VSN was TONIGHT (Sat) and then I found some challenges that were done last night (Fri). What's going on? I've never participated before and probably still won't as it doesn't start until 9pm my time - but would like to find out what's going on so I can get my act together for next time.

You have until noon on sunday to post your cards as long as you only take the alloted amount of time to make your cards you can get up early and do some

You can emboss if you carefully hold your card flat over your toaster (with the toaster on, of course!). Don't tip it -- you do NOT want EP in your toaster!

You wrote in a thread that you were confused about VSN. Last night was a sneak peek of tonight's VSN. They did 3 challenges.
Today's challenges are starting at 3:00 CST (less than an hour from now). I hope you decide to play. It's always a lot of fun!

OK... half hour to go and I am pumped for my 1st VSN.
To get ready I did really important things like: eat not 1 but 2 ice cream sandwiches, put my Pepsi in the freezer so it's nice and cold and kicked my hubby and the kiddies out of the house so I can run around like a maniac, since my computer and stamp area are on 2 different floors.
Now I'm asking myself really important questions like: how many dryer sheets do I need? Should I drain my iron so it doesn't steam? Do I need the ironing board? Do I have enough chocolate and Pepsi to get me through the night? And how in the world am I going to be able to get stuff created and made in the time alloted? Are my acryllic nails going to be a problem with the candle and matches?
OK, enough being neurotic... Let's get this party started!!!
For those of you short or out of bubble wrap- this provided another moment of panic here too- all of a sudden it hit me- i have wrapped some Christmas ornaments in bubble wrap- go check your ornaments!! LOL! The things we will do to stamp!
Who would have thought finding white toothpaste would be such a challenge- I sent hubby back to town- crest original is blue- darn that lady at No Frills!!!! (it shows its white on the darn box) GRRR!!! Will toothpaste with baking soda work? LOL - might know it is the empty tube sitting on the counter!!!! GRR! LOL!!
