DEC11VSNP ~ Saturday, Dec 10 ~ 11 pm EST ~ These Boots
Title: These Boots Are Made For . . . Snow
Hostess: Julie Masse (jmasse)
Keyword: DEC11VSNP
Day/Date: Saturday, December 10th
Time: 11:00pm ET
What do your winter boots say about you? Do you have just 1 pair or are you the Imelda of boots? ;) Living in the north where we get plenty of snow, I definitely need a sturdy, warm pair of boots to muck around in. However, that doesn't mean I can't have a pretty pair of tall, black, high-heeled boots for when I'm feeling a bit sassier. Boots are also a necessity for my children's winter wardrobe - they need something extra warm for lots of snow play! Whatever they look like, if you have snow, you have boots!
My challenge for you is to use winter boots on your project.Use a stamp that depicts winter boots, patterned paper with boots, a winter boot die cut or templatelet your imagination run wild and show us your style!!
Remember that you can't combine VSN challenges in order to be eligible for the Sparkly Silver and White Snowflake Ornament!

I live in a snow city, and my only pair of winter boots are my cowboy boots. They don't track snow, and I can skate in them if need be. Great challenge Julie! I don't know if I have a stamp set with boots in them, but I'm sure I can make something work!

Have you tried the color recipes that Maria has posted?
They are a good starting point and I would definitely advise doing the stamps in order how she has them listed (e.g. #4, then #3, then #2, then #1, then #5) - it's soooo much easier (imho) to stamp backwards! When you do them that way you can actually see before you stamp if their lined up. Try again - don't give up!!
I love the look of the KSS stamps sets, but don't have any in my collection yet. Maybe someday soon. It sounds like a good thing to put on my Christmas list

I don't have any SU pads.....I have Vivid, Memento, Stephanie Barnard and Tim Holtz.
Oh Mementos are my FAV and it's usually what Maria uses for her color recipes! I just added the ink colors to that card I linked. I also list mine in my KSS posts on my blog and usually here too!

Oooohhh!! They are super fun!!! I have 2 sets. I used one tonight but I don't have the photo posted yet!! It will be the winter scene!!! I also used a little butterfly stamp from them. VERY fun to have the added dimensions of multi stamping.

Cool!! Yes, they are fun and the images always look so neat!
Thanks Julie! I was about to give up until you posted your card and encouraged me! Now I'll be playing tomorrow and hopefully I'll have a fun Christmas Boots card to show you!
I have one stamp image with boots!!! It's cute! I hope to get to put together tomorrow. I am beat....what a fun VSN everyone!!! I will post the rest of my photos on Monday!
Oh Lee! That's tragic...after you have your inspiration and everything. No Momento markers stashed anywhere?
Hmm...brainstorming....yes...I believe the Memento Markers are here.....ok...well we shall see if I can get them to work! I'm so glad someone has more functioning brain cells than I do tonite!
