Saturday 11:00 pm EST ~ JAN08VSNR ~ Standing at the Fridge Door ~ Chat Thread
Title: Standing at the Fridge Door Hostesses: Kim (Nutsymuhl) and Katherine (beadfreak22) ** with special help from Holly (hollylogic) ** Keyword: JAN08VSNR Day/Date: Saturday, January 19th Time: 11:00 PM EST
You come home late after a night of partying with your friends...you're dead tired...and HUNGRY. You walk into the kitchen...open the refrigerator...and peer inside. Nothing but leftovers. You start grabbing random items...not really a meal, but it all tastes great.
Our challenge for you is to make a grid-type card using only the supplies that are out on your table *right now*. Because this is the final Girls Night Out challenge,at least 63% of the stamping stuff you own should be out on your workspace by now. If you stamp like we do, you should have plenty of options. If by chance you are an orderly stamper and have been cleaning up between each challenge (notice we didn't call you neat freaks? ), you may retrieve cutting tools and adhesives from your stash, along with one card base.
Have fun and really let your imagination run wild! We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thank goodness I did not clean up after that last challenge. I have been all day long, but this time - no! And all my ink pads are *always* on my table.
Well, yes - I clean up after each card - do you have a problem with that??? LOL!!! I must have something left out to use - there is some DP on the floor ! fun challenge!! off I go!

Thanks! We have as much fun with this as you all do.
Vell, my card won't be much, I don't have anything left out. I clean up after each card because I don't have a very big table. The only things left out are whats always out, my ink pad holder, my eyelet caddy thingy, and my tool turn about with all my stuff in it. No paper, or stamps or anything to be seen. Oh well, I had fun with all the other stuff, and thanks to all the hostesses, this has been a blast!!!
Do you think there is a 12 step program for Neat Freaks ????? I have nothing left out. I wonder if I would be the only one to show up to that program......and then I would probably start straightening out the chairs, tidying up the place ......LOL
Thanks for a fun time, your challenges were great !!!!
Trash was primary source....Luckily everything from last challenge was still on workdesk. But ribbon and brads had to come from floor/trash spills on the to do tomorrow list. Actually, I like this card....
I used:
Cream CS--from file, as per instructions/allowables for base.
Scraps of mustard, green patterned paper and cream from last card.
Sentiment from happy Harmony--Its the little things that make life Big
Old Olive and Mustard ink, sponge, and the flower stamp from Happy Harmony
sponged around an oval template left over from something this week, stamped two olive and one mustard flower in space, punched holes and threaded olive organza ribbon at base of mustard flower so it didn't appear to be floating in space. Anchored olive flowers with sentiment--simple but effective.
My heartfelt thanks to the coordinators, the hostessess with the mostessess and all the players....I have enjoyed seeing your cards, will hopefully be able to post mine and the topics and rules opened some floodgates of productivity and hopefully some creativity. This has been a blast!!!!!!!! And thanks to my DH too who cooked, laundered and changed the oil in my car so I could exist in my own stamping world to participate. Next time!!!!!!!

OK, So I totally missed the "Grid" part, just so happened that these two pieces out of my POP where already cut to size - only had to cut the card base from the whisper white that was sitting on my table (the ONLY piece of card stock on my table!)
Anyway, here's mine, maybe a "twist" on a grid card??
