Title: PUNCHie Animals Challenge
Hostess: Faith (Markie's Mom)
Keyword: JAN08VSNG
Day/Date: Saturday, January 19th
Time: 12:00 PM EST

Its Girls Night Out! That means we KIDS, get to PLAY!

I remember my grandma coming over and watching my sister and me when my parents would go out for the evening.

Grandma had a special goodie bag full of paper crafting items! We'd play with wrapping paper, butcher paper, old greeting cards, markers, crayons and special templates. Grandma was the greatest!

Grandma would draw creatures and we'd copy them. Then, we'd cut them out and paste them to poster board, and we'd have dioramas set up to display our animals. When our folks got home, there would be a homemade Art Show waiting!

In honor of my favorite childhood (heck, and ADULTHOOD) memories, I challenge you to use punches to create animals or bugs. You can make dioramas, paste them to paper, or make a card. Its up to you!

Here is a LINK to the Punched Animal Gallery

The gallery for this challenge can be found here.

Thanks for playing!

I can see why these challenges are such a good thing to participate in... it really gets you thinking outside the box! Thanks for a fun idea. Off to brainstorm!

pinkhedgehog 01-19-2008 08:08 AM

I'm assuming that die cuts are OK also, as long as they're shapes, not actual die cuts of animals.

stampinupconsultan 01-19-2008 08:08 AM

Hi Heidi...

abmurray 01-19-2008 08:09 AM

I'm with you Keri! I am not very talented in coming up with ideas for animals! I don't have that many punches either! Think I may sit this one out!

markie's mom 01-19-2008 08:10 AM

Any chatters?

I made mine! It's an ant. I'm not going to take a pic yet, 'cause I'm hoping my brown brads arrive in the mail today and I have 5 more minutes to add them on. This was fun, Faith!

beadfreak22 01-19-2008 08:41 AM

The sentiment on my ant card is "How in the hill have you been?" hehehe

austamper 01-19-2008 08:41 AM

What a serious challenge!!!! I'm SO not good at this!

Thanks for the challenge. :)
