Default Saturday 10:00 pm EST ~ JAN08VSNQ ~ Packing the Purse ~Chat Thread

Title: Packing the Purse
Hostess: Taylor (stagccva)
Keyword: JAN08VSNQ
Day/Date: Saturday, January 19th
Time: 10:00 PM EST

Ok, you know how it is. Big night out. Hours doing your hair, working on the make-up, and picking out a super-fabulous outfit. And now that you're all ready for a night out, the last thing to do before meeting with the girls is to cram as much as possible into that adorable little bag that matches your outfit perfectly!

What to take....what to take....hmmmmm...I always think this is the hardest part! So here's my challenge to you -- follow the list to fit just the perfect essentials on your card. Have fun and good luck! And yes -- you HAVE to get it all on there (and nothing more) -- that's the challenge. No more, no less!!!

Stamps:
1 flower or other botanical
1 sentiment stamp
1 background stamp

Ink:
any

Paper:
3 different colors of cardstock (neutrals count as a color!)
2 different patterned papers

Tools: (use at least one)
cuttlebug
paper piercer
punches
sponge
distresser

Embellishments: (pick at least 3 different kinds of embellies for your card)

thread
ribbon
eyelets
brads
spiral clips
bling

I think opposites sides are different so that is fine ... and to me if the pattern is different I would class that as different no matter what the color

Great challenge but to keep it all straight need to look at the list also. What a great second to last challenge. I'm off to gather the ingrediants and then see what I can come up with.

I think this was asked already, but I don't see an answer - we have to use 3 different colors, but can the pattern paper be the same as those other 3 colors?

This one was definitely a challenge but I managed to get it all on the card without going overboard or looking to busy (I think anyway).

Here's my card: JAN08VSNQ Full Bloom Purse by SherryLC05 at Splitcoaststampers

Yes, in fact, I found that if you choose your patterned paper (and I chose coordinating dp) first and then choose your CS around that it is easy. The hardest part for me was to work the BG stamp in with all the DP- but if you check out my card (above) you will see how I managed that.

Whew, this was a challenge! I think the hardest part for me was remembering everything I had to use. Even with so much stuff, I think this card is one of my faves. You can see it here.

Thanks for hosting this great challenge Taylor!

This seemed daunting but was so much fun, Frances! I went to my Carte Postale coordinates and that made things easier.
