Title: "Mandalay Bay" Hostess: Trish ~strongcanadianbeauty~ Keyword: MAY09VSNPRE4 Day/Date: Saturday, March, 28/09 Time: 7:00 PM (EST) I’ve never been to Vegas so I’ve had to live vicariously through my DH who has. He stayed in Mandalay Bay and was impressed with the shark reef in the hotel. So much so he sent the kids post cards of it!!
See parts of the Mandalay Bay hotel including the Shark Reef: To see either a virtual 360 view, a walk through or picture slides of the Mandalay Bay, including the Shark Reef, click HERE . Once on the map click on a round orange bubble to view a 360 view of that location….. try the shark tunnel. There are picture slides to view through as well at the bottom of the screen, just click on the numbered pages. By clicking on a blue bubble, just choose an area that you’d like to explore, to take a walk through!!
I’ve never been to Vegas but I do love things that inspire me to create so here is your challenge Be it blue….or ocean…fish….or shell….creature of the water (mythical or real) make a card inspired by the Shark Reef in the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Vegas. There is one catch (no pun intended, lol) you are in Vegas……and what does Vegas have a ton of???? Cards!!!! You MUST use a playing card on your card. If you don’t have a playing card or would hate to break up a pack of cards for this challenge no problem!!!! All you need is a piece of paper/cardstock in the shape of a playing card (approx. 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches) and make sure to round the corners!!! Consider the geometrical patterns on playing cards…do you have DP that would make a good playing card? Maybe you have a stamp that would make for a good playing card bg? Real playing card or faux...you decide!! bet you'll have a ton of fun, now go set your timer!!!
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Monday, March 30
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, MAY09VSNPRE4, when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in the chat thread just in case the gallery is being testy.

Nope...you definately don't have to use fish...you can use any part of the hotel as inspiration...the only requirement is you have to use a playing card (faux or real).
Question though...why no *fish*??

I soooooo hear you Lee...we have a plethera of cards around here....just so happens DD *loves* to play with them so there are always lost cards so I didn't have to worry about breaking a pack!!!!

Thanks Trish! I hear ya on fears...there are lots of things that give me nightmares that have to do with stamping: SMEARing the ink, DEALing with glitter, etc etc.

No pearl ex (not that I don't have those somewhere.....). Its just the paper in the Marrakech tablet.
