Dear Diary,
Well, it has been nearly a year since we arrived on the Mayflower. Few of us survived for long after our 3,000 mile journey. Our losses have been great. My Edward has done his best to keep us fed and sheltered, but frankly, were it not for the Wampanoag, those of us who are living still would have perished long since. The Good Lord blesses us, and we will be welcoming a new baby in the spring. I know that it is my duty as a wife and mother to hold my small family together, and I take this job very seriously. I pray that the Lord continues to give me the strength and fortitude to be the glue which holds my family together….
Spring, 2007
OKAY, GIRLS!!!! You know it’s you who holds it all together in your family-it’s what we do! What we also do, maybe when we’re tired of holding everyone else together, is sneak off to our stamp room! There, as my DH likes to say, we cut up pieces of paper and glue them back together!! Your challenge is to use your adhesives to emboss.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
1. Transfer squares. Lay out a design with your adhesive squares and cover with embossing powder. Heat and enjoy.
2. Glue dots. Cover with EP. Heat and enjoy.
3. Mono/Snail types. Good for edges and stripes.
4. Glue sticks. Draw design with glue stick. Cover with EP. Heat and enjoy.
You are not limited to these adhesives. You may use any kind of adhesive you can think of. Enjoy!

Here are a few I put together. The first one uses Sakura Glaze Pen, the second one Herma Squares, and the last one, Mono.

Since I don't have any embossing supplies I am going to say goodnight. Have fun ladies and maybe by next VSN I'll have invested in an embossing gun and some embossing powder. I am so underpriviledged. Pouting . . . . LOL!

I used to do this a lot back when I did a LOT of embossing! I just came across some of my stuff when I was cleaning last week.... I may have to give this a shot later! Right now, I've got pieces of 52 swap cards spread across my table! They kinda fit the last challenge, so I decided just to work on them instead! LOL!

This sounds really fun. I'll have to check back in the a.m. to see the wonderful creations. But for me - time to hit the hay. I had stamp night here tonight and I'm a little worn out. I'm looking forward to playing tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get to do at least one challenge. It will be my first! :-)

Well, it's supposed to be EP. I don't know how strict the VSN rules are. I don't know, maybe one of the qUEeN bEES can comment. I'm not opposed, but it's not exactly the challenge, so whatever the Queens decide is fine with me. |

Close to my heart sells it in a package of, I think it's ten 8 x 8" sheets. Think of your Red Liner or Sticky Strip tape in sheets! __________________

I have seen Double sided sticker paper at Michaels too. The stuff I saw there was redline.

Ice cream is just about my very favorite food in the world!! I don't eat it as much as I used to though, and I've lost 25 pounds! I'll never go without it entirely, tho. I still eat it a few times a month, but I try not to bring it into the house, I just can't be trusted with the stuff!! |
