Challenge Title: Seafood Hostess: Teri aka TeriJ Keyword: MAR23VSND Date: Friday, March 31, 2023--8:00 pm EST
Seafood happens to be one of my favorite sections of the menu! If we are eating out, I will most likely select from the bounty of the sea. Lobster, crab, shrimp, scallops, salmon, clam chowder--yum, yum. My challenge is to make a card inspired by seafood. You can feature a food item, something that lives in the ocean or go more generally with a beach theme.
For my sample, I thought a nautilus shell would be a good representation of both beach and crustaceans. VSN challenges have a suggested time limit of 1 hour for creation and Zentangling can sometimes be a lengthy process. However, for VSN there is no time limit for preparation. To work with those guidelines, I researched a few tangle designs that appealed to me and seemed simple to execute. I gathered my materials and set the timer for 45 minutes to see how far my design went with a few extra minutes to "finish" the design with extra auras (simple outlines) or orbs (bubble shapes work great for a sea influenced design). It was a pleasant hour. I hope you enjoy your time creating a seafood inspired card or tag using any style that suits you.
Thanks to VSN hostesses for making fun samples for this challenge.

it's a funny thing what will stop you in your tracks mentally so, it was such a relief when the overthinkingthing stopped. here is mine. I stamped this a dozen times trying to get that sentiment solid on the lumpy watercolor paper but, I still ended up dabbing a black marker in spots. Enjoying these challenges! They are helping me build my card stash back up also. It has gotten low. I should do the challenges more often. MAR23VSND Kitty Captain

Reason: forgot challenge keyword
I don't have any seaFOOD stamps, just shells and "beachy" ones! So, hiere is my Hello There card for the challenge, with seahorses, shells, and a sand dollar!
