What's Red & Black and leaves a trail? Lady Bugs! Did you know they leave a trail? Well..when I was a girl living in KS, I sure didn't know they left trails but living in GA I have discovered they leave black trails behind them! Every few years we get dozens of lady bugs in the house and they can leave tracks on the walls! That's not so much fun on the walls but it sure is fun on a card!
My challenge is to create a card with a lady bug or lady bugs included somewhere. It can be on the designer paper, a stamped image, an embellishment, anything...just show me your lady bug(s)! If you don't have any lady bugs you can make one! In the photo below I used a heart punch and a standard size hole punch. I can't wait to see your lady bugs and if you want to add some tracks I would love to see them. MOST of all have fun!!!
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Monday Mar 4th.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. We have a special gallery for the Birds, Bees & Creepy Crawlies VSN. When you click on Member Galleries to access the drop-down list, either scroll to the very bottom of the list (or just hit the End key which will take you straight there), and upload to that gallery .
4. Please remember to put in the correct keyword MAR13VSNH when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.

Oh, your lady bug with the heart punch is too cute ! I might have a tiny heart punch... Hum..Great challenge, now have to get an idea! That is the most difficult! I still didn't come up with an idea for the last one. :(

I know what you mean!!!! A lot of times my ideas come well AFTER a challenge! I always think, why couldn't I have thought of that earlier! Once I get going it's all fun....but sometimes it's a little scary in those moments when my mind goes blank!
So glad you posted the "hello love bug" card as an attachment! For some reason when I went to the gallery I couldn't enlarge it to take a closer look but I can from here. Awesome ladybug!
House is full but my kids are doing a great job entertaining!!! Last night I had to be gone several hours and Seth TALKED to his Grandparents the entire time! MIL told me today..."he is a charachter!"
It's funny - we are having a lady bug blossom in our choir room. There are thousands covering the walls and light fixtures, but I am trying to keep them from killing them all. I don't know why they picked our space.

We used to get them in our house, not thousands but dozens would accumulate in the corners....but we haven't had them for years do that...I just see the occasional lady bug these days.
I hope they find away to remove them without killing them.
Angie, in your first card, the one with the blue frame die cut...is that a silhouette die cut piece or from another maker. I LOVE the delicacy of it. LMK when you can, no hurry. Thanks! Amy
I'm quite sticky & glittery but i got it done. Too many little tiny pieces to do this often but i'm quite happy with the way it turned out, for once. lol

Angie, your cards are wonderful. I love the punched fence one. what a cute sun. ....uhm, i don't really like lady bugs at all. we get hundreds of them in the fall and they are nasty.

We get "Japanese beetles" here which are very similar to ladybugs. They weren't too bad this year, maybe the drought will kill them off. They do get in the house and they stink!
But on cards, they are adorable!

Yes and they really STINK if you accidentally vacuum them up! Bleck!!! Thankfully we haven't had too much problems with them the last few years. Like you said, they are super cute on a card though!
I like lady bugs on my cards but hate them in the house. Sometimes there are swarms of them! I hate how they stink. Here's my Lady Bug Line of Thanks - lots of lady bugs and their trail!
