Mmmm, got all of this, will have to hunt around for the felt but I know there is some somewhere,you've got me intrigued, sounds like it's gong to be an exciting VSN

what exactly is a reinker?

A reinker is just a small bottle of ink used to rejuicify an ink pad. There are lots of other fun things you can do with them, I suspect we may be doing something fun with one during VSN. They aren't usually very expensive.

Does the Flower Soft need to be white?

I am not sure I can get flower soft...didn't even know what it was until I googled it! I just watched the funniest youtube on how to make it!!! Thanks for the posts!!!

Better hunt for styrofoam this week... and I have some felt, not in pretty colors though...

ok, just to make sure. Flower soft is not Flocking Powder, right? I found flocking powder but no flower soft.

Can you tell us how many reinkers we should have? any hint on colors?

and one more......Should we be making our styrofoam a certain color???

Hi Angie! Flower Soft is not flocking.....but Flocking is also acceptable for that particular challenge! ;) And any color is fine! :D

Reinkers....I'm thinking at least 2 or 3 colors would be preferable....but I'm sure even one can do the job! ;) Again, any colors! :D

I made my own "flower soft" today from Styrofoam. I am sure I would like flower soft better...Amazon here I come! At first I didn't like the look but it has really grown on me. I am so intrigued for Friday!!

Umm, no felt. Guess a trip to Michaels is in order before 4:00 CST Friday. Good thing it's inexpensive enough! I do have flower soft and the other items but no felt. By the way, isn't Flower Soft just a brand name for flocking?

Actually Flower Soft is fluffier and more coarse than flocking. A tutorial on how to make your own will be posted too.....if you have white styrofoam balls. But flocking is also acceptable for this challenge, so Flower Soft isn't the only thing you can use. ;)

I think I have it all but the felt. But I have some suede scraps; will that work?

Bummed some felt off my BFF...woot!!

Hello everyone!
This is going to be my first VSN and I am so excited!! I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to join as we just moved and I was missing the box with my heat gun, but low and behold my DH found it YEA!! I told him last night that I will be totally unavailable tomorrow night from 5-11. I am ready to stamp again after 3 years of it being in storage and to learn some of the new stuff since so much has changed in that time.

I think I will love VSN, my daughter wants to try it too, but she is gone this weekend. And yes, I did give DH a kiss as well as play him up to everyone we know;)

Is the felt for applying the ink? I have felt pads that fit on the handle (Tim Holtz) or do I have to try to dig out my craft felt. OMG, where would that be. Easier to go and buy some rather than dig.

The felt is actually to be used on a card for one of the challenges.

Felt is the only thing I'm missing to. I'll have to go out and grab some tomorrow.

I might get to play tomorrow night. My desk is pretty much cleaned off and all I need is some felt. I thought I had some but it turned out that I have fun foam instead. This will also help me wrap up my cards for the Christmas Card Challenge 2011.

Howdy to the newbies....VSN is such fun and I always learn so much....Can't wait....will be a little late tonight but no worky tomorrow so can stay up as late as I want to play...whooohoooo......now to go find some felt...

I'm new to this and would like to attempt the VSN next Friday. I'm embarassed to ask this but I'm looking at the supply list and then everyone's comments after it...why are people talking about reinkers and flower soft when those items aren't on the list I'm looking at? What am I missing? :confused:

Hi Donna!!! I'm so happy you'll be joining us!! The list has been updated for the Main...so the things you're noticing were for the Mini VSN which was last month! ;) Don't ever worry about asking questions....every one of us has to ask things! :D

Versamark is one brand....so that will work!

<----wonders if she even still owns any glue pads. Knows she threw some in the garbage a long time ago.

Well a thin coat of some type of glue will work! ;)
