Challenge Title: Happy Dance
Hostess: Brenda (aka tessaduck) Keyword: JUN15VSNA Date: Friday, June 12, 2015 6 P. M. EST I love to dance! Any form, but particularly country line dancing. Every Tuesday night a few friends get together for about an hour and a half of dances, learning a new one frequently, and enjoying the oldies. Appropriate, since most of us are oldies! Here's what I love about it: It's physical (fun exercise). It's social. It's a little bit silly and forgiving, as we all flub up from time to time. It keeps me alert (I call it algebra that I can do with my feet). Mostly, it makes me happy. The challenge here is to represent a happy dance on a card or project. I did two A1 samples, using dancing frogs. I used to collect frogs... I also attached Lisa's very lovely card. Not a frog. VIEW THE GALLERY FOR THIS CHALLENGE HERE View the Happy Gallery HERE View the Happy Gallery Master Challenge Thread HERE 1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10 P.M. EST ON Saturday, June 20. 2. We have a special gallery for the Happy VSN. a) From the "Main Gallery" dropdown list on the first page of the uploader, choose Events and Special Collections. b) From the Sub-gallery dropdown list, choose Virtual Stamping and Scrapbooking Nights ~ it's the last in the list. c) From the new sub-gallery dropdown list choose Happy - it's the very top of the list. 4. Please remember to put in the correct keyword JUN15VSNA when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. 5. Please do not combine VSN challenges...but you may combine any other challenges with a VSN challenge! It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your layout is seen. Thank you for playing!! |

Lots of ideas: romance. ballet/folk/salsa, etc. JOY in movement. Dancing in the rain-- or, since you're So. Cal. (Kathy), RAIN DANCE!

I loved making my ballet card. My neighbor's daughter is a ballet dancer and this card was totally inspired by her: Dancing Girl. Thank you for the great challenge Brenda!!!
|
Brenda, thanks for being hostess! This was a fun and surprising challenge. I thought I HAVE NO DANCERS! When I saw the little girl, which I knew I had, and read her sentiment, it made my day!
Happy Dance |
Rita, she's beyond sweet! Love the dress-up. Remember pretending, when we were little girls?
|
Have you seen that frog ballerina stamp at Micheals? ( It's been there a few months at least I think?) :)

LOVE love love the anniversary cards. |
my sister used to collect frogs, and from time to time people would see me buying them ( for her) and think I collected them... so I have a pretty big frog collection from gifts... but, I still pick up the frog stamps when I see them. :)
|
I've been seriously downsizing my collections recently. I actually gave away an old su! set of frog stamps. They were really dorky looking.
|
I have a bunch of those... wonder where they are hiding... some look like frog rag dolls? but, the ones I have never ever inked are the solid ones... can't even tell you the set name anymore.
|
I love the baby in boots, so cute! Great challenge! And great examples!
|
Ok Brenda..no dancing frogs here but I did have a ballerina! You can be the judge whether or not she is happy
The Dancer |
I have a ballerina too! One must be happy, if not to be the dancer, surly the watcher, when ballet is involved.

I am stuck! Trying to think of an image that I have that would work! I only have at least 1000 stamp sets; surely one of them would work? LOL. It is a wonderful challenge and there are some great cards in this challenge's gallery. So I will be back! Thank you Brenda!
|
Did you see the "dancing" dragonflies? How clever was that?!
|
Well, I found a sentiment with dance in it! Here is Might as well Dance.
Hope that works. Thank you for the inspiration! |
Oh, Sharon! What a prize you found in your "unused" toys! Awesome sentiment.

Gosh, this one is stumping me. I spent an hour in my file looking for something dance related. If I could find my Hawaiian set in the garage, there is a hula girl that would be great. Have not found her yet but working on it!
