Day/Date: Friday, May 3rd
Time: 8:00 PM EST (7:00 pm CST)
Happy VSN Everybody!
Those of you who know me, know that I am a HUGE dog lover! Our rescued furbaby is literally the ' sun ' of my solar system and brings infinite joy to my life. So, when I saw the theme of this VSN, you KNOW I had to participate! My challenge (if you choose to accept it) is two part:
First (not part of the 45 minute limit) : Visit Theanimalrescuesite.com and click the purple button that says 'click here!' at the top of the screen - TA DA! You have just donated a free bowl of food to an shelter animal in need. (If this made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, feel free to also visit Freekibble.com and answer the trivia question of the day to donate free kibble to shelter dogs and FreeKibblecat.com to donate free kibble to shelter kitties) - on behalf of shelter pets everywhere - THANK YOU!!, and
Second:Create a card with a dog on it that also incorporates heat embossing.
I heat embossed the cute doxie from 'Preppy Pups' by Some Odd Girl for my little card. I attached a pic to this post and it should appear in the gallery in a few moments as well.
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON MONDAY, May 6th.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. We have a special gallery for the Dog Days of Summer VSN. When you click on Member Galleries to access the drop-down list, either scroll to the very bottom of the list (or just hit the End key which will take you straight there), and upload to that gallery.
4. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, JUN13VSNMINI4 , when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your creation is seen.
I can't wait to see all your canine creations!! Thanks for playing along with my VSN challenge!
Oh my!!! I just clicked on all your links! Thanks for sharing them with us!!!! Lamo is too cute and I learned that a cat's life on average is extended 2 - 3 years by spaying and neutering! There you go Lil Bit and Storm we just gave you a couple of extra years! I am off to get my kids shortly, I will try to play your challenge some time this weekend!!!

Thanks so much Angie! I know the shelter pups really appreciate it (they have new trivia questions every day too! I click every day to try to help since I can't adopt any more furbabies, it's fast, easy, and non-intrusive - you don't even have to share any of your personal information - just LICK and VOILA - the sponsors donate kibble, it's a win-win situation! )
You know, I didn't think of this before, but this challenge is a wonderful way to spot new doggie images I can add to my collection!! Heh heh heh...

No puppies; no pets. But I do pet/house sit for a family with two big dogs and two cats; and for another family with two cats. I get my "pet-fix" that way. I'm basically a dog person, but have come to love these kitties too.

I am sure they really appreciate it Val - it means SO MUCH to have someone you trust look after your furbabies when you cannot. HUbby & I have not taken any vacations since we adopted Ty in 2009, I love him so much, I can't bear to leave him, I even cry when I have to leave him at the groomer for just a few hours, I hate being apart from him! LOL!!
No puppies but we currently have 2 cats that have shown up at our front door and adopted us. I am telling you, they are the BEST cats. One has been with us 6 years and one just a year! Their personalities keep us in stitches!
Finally got this one done. Thanks for the great challenge that made me dig around to find this stamp. I forget how cute he is when he's hidden away in my stash.
I clicked on the links! So great! Thanks for sharing those. Wish I could play along this weekend, such an interesting challenge! Happy to find VSN through you Crafty Math Chick.
Hugs!
Lesley

Hi Meredith and everyone else, it's Sunday evening here and although I had your card done last evening Meredith I was just too tide to upload as my laptop was playing up.
Today being Sunday here, family took precedence however I've got an hour or two this evening so uploaded and am about to have a go at Tam's challenge.
Here's my card, Dog Gone , it took fifty minutes not counting doing the greeting on the computer.

I can't have kitties (I am REALLY allergic! I am already on Zyrtec for my dog and I still react to cats). It's probably a good thing, or I would be the crazy cat lady of the neighborhood...

I have that cute TAC pup hidden in my stash too! Thanks for the inspiration to get him out and give him a little love Beth. Thanks for playing along with my challenge too!
