Challenge Title: Sliding Into Your Staycation
Hostess: cnsteele (Nicole) Keyword: JUL18VSNJ Date: Saturday, July 14, 2018 4:00PM EST My husband and I and our youngest daughter are having a staycation this summer while our two older daughters take an overseas trip with their grandparents. We told A to make a list of all she wanted to do, see, and experience during her time as an only child. Some of the things on her list are:
***BONUS (optional)! A few weeks after A made her list, I happened to win five tickets to Sandcastle from a local radio station. I was dying to share my excitement but everyone in my family was napping (it was a Sunday afternoon ;-)). ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10 P. M. EST ON Sunday, July 22nd. 2. You have 1 hour to complete the challenge, unless otherwise noted.....you do not have to count prep time! 3. We have a special gallery for the Staycation VSN. a) From the "Main Gallery" dropdown list on the first page of the uploader, choose Events and Special Collections. b) From the Sub-gallery dropdown list, choose Virtual Stamping and Scrapbooking Nights ~ it's the last in the list. c) From the new sub-gallery dropdown list choose Staycation- it's the very top of the list. 4. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. 5. Please do not combine VSN challenges...but you may combine any other challenges with a VSN challenge! You can do it, Kim! Watch the video, though. When I first made a slider card, there was no video and it took me awhile to figure it out. The video now available makes it crystal clear.

I used a thin grocery bag and it worked fine. I can't wait to send it to one of our sponsor kids. They love getting interactive cards and there is no shortage of ideas on this site.

Me oh MY! What a challenge. I watched some tutorial videos and finally went with it. But it took me 50 minutes to make this card, so I was close to the limit.

WHEW! I studied many times before attempting. I was too fried to do it on the day. It was fun, however, and definitely has a WOW effect. Here's my Red White and Blue Celebration:
