Friday 8:00 pm EST - JAN08VSNC - Little Black Dress - Chat Thread
Title: Little Black Dress
Hostess: Jennifer (badger-girl)
Keyword: JAN08VSNC
Day/Date: Friday, January 18th
Time: 8:00 PM EST
I love throwing theme parties, and lately I've been dreaming of a Girls Night Out "Little Black Dress" party. My vision for this fabulous night would be me and all my girls dolled up in our favorite little black dresses, in a shiny black limo, sipping martinis until the wee hours of the morning. I didn't say it was going to be a cheap night out!
So here is my challenge:
Create a card with the main image stamped on black cardstock. You must also use black embellishments ...especially those you have been saving for a "special occasion."
Note: Many techniques will work on black CS. Embossing, pastel embossing, stamping with bleach are just a few. Certain inks also show up well on dark CS all by themselves. Only the main image must be stamped on black CS. You are free to use other colors any where else on your card.
The gallery for this challenge can be found
here .
Sample(s):
Follow Your Dreams
Tiger
Dragonfly
*** ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 11:00 PM EST ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 20th ***
Uploading Instructions:
*You have 45 minutes to complete this challenge.
*Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. If you are using additional keywords, you must separate them with a comma. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
*It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in the chat thread, in case the gallery is being testy.

Umm, they're really fast??
No, seriously, the VSN hostesses have an opportunity to play in advance, since it's hard for them to play during the event. The 45-minute time limit still applies, though.

Here's my submission. I don't know if it meets the criteria since I don't have any black embellishments. :(

Here's mine. It's not that great.... I've done better! Was trying to do white e.p. on top of clear e.p. Not sure I like this effect!

What a really fun challenge. It was challenging to come up with something, but I had been wanting to do bleach for a while now, so it forced my hand so to speak. Thank you

Here is my card. The chalk inks covered the shinyness of the embossing - weird.

What an interesting challenge. I tried using Versamark with chalk but that didn't work on the black paper, so then I just embossed the flowers.
Here's mine:
