So I'm planning to do VSN, my first time ever! I never do any coloring ahead of time, isn't my thing. I see something about tissue paper....something to do ahead?? Please clue me in. Thanks.
Just got off the phone with Polly...I clicked on the new link Misti sent me, says I don't have permission. I've been a fan club member for a while, since I'm a DD, I don't think I should have any issues. So now what? I imagine Lydia has to fix this?????

There were a couple of people who had this issue last vsn. Kim can’t see them & she’s a moderator. I think the bugs are busy playing!

I was having issues also. I posted a thread in the site help area, and now I can see them. A few others have chimed in. Let Lydia know you are having problems...she'll do her magic! Unable to see Sneak Peeks - Splitcoaststampers

Thanks, everyone. I just put a post on the unable to see thread. I see the word 'private' when I try to see the sneak peeks. Thanks to those who have passed on the info. I just hope I can see later or tomorrow.

Starting tomorrow, all of the challenges will be available for everyone to see.
We want to spread some happy mail around. Starting tomorrow... we are going to randomly choose people, that are chatting in this thread... hostess, participant, even someone who is just chatting. You don’t have to make a card to be included. We’ll choose a person & you will get a card in the mail. . If you are chosen & would rather your card go to someone else, we’ll be happy to mail it to them if you supply the address.
Long live happy mail! Spread kindness!!
I’m playing and need to find the times so I can set my alarm. Sunday may be tricky as it’s DHS birthday...we shall see if I can manage to break away from our party of 2 lol. He now wants to play golf...just the 2 of us whilst we can..eek. We shall see.
Have fun everyone and keep safe and well.

It just means a stamp you can colour in as opposed to a solid silhouette or layering stamp, AFAIK. At least, that's how we describe them in the gallery index cards for SU sets.
I am going to try and play. I have to work today (from home), but I can color during meetings now instead of doodling on my notebook like I usually do - lol. Thanks to all the behind the scenes gals - I know it is a lot of work and we are appreciative! Also thanks to Jayne who mentioned this to me. Flowery Hugz

I have been home in self-quarantine all week stamping away. Why in the world didn't I check in to see the sneak peeks before now?? Anyway, I will have time before the first formal challenge is posted tomorrow. Let's make this fun to distract from the challenges that surround us. Thanks.
Jayne I don't know the times either but I know they are eastern time zone not central...
That always throws me for a loop...
As I made cards yesterday I tried to think of flowers...
AND for the open line art...Lydia has a good video on it that I watched LONG, LONG ago...it was on her blog which I don't even know the name of her blog or how I ever found it...
It seems what I remember is you stamp in a light color for the outline image and it gets filled in with darker colors.
HA...how's that for not knowing what I'm talking about but I remember the image she used was a bird and she did it in blue...uhm, no surprise on that color!

We had NO IDEA that this VSN would be such a good distraction when we started getting in hostess ideas. We had more than normal. So today, the challenges start at 4pm est & noon est tomorrow. Jayne, what time zone are you in?

AWST...I know the answer to that!!!!
She is 12 hours AHEAD of EDT

Misti--thanks for the link to the free digi's, will have to check that out!
I think I'm going to declare the news off-limits today and tomorrow, for myself! Focus on VSN, and add some cards to my growing stash! :-)
Just a few more hours to go! I need to go check out the sneak peeks for FC members...I thought I'd get at it earlier this week, but got sidetracked!
Now, if I can just convince DH that he really can make his own supper tonight....lol!

Last night I was using one of the Cuttlebugs on the floor, my husband saw me and asked why I was doing that? Didn't I have a table to put it on?
I said, yes I have a table but if I put up the table then I put other things on it and the table becomes a mess, this way only the floor is a mess!
Have decided I am going to put the Cuttlebugs and the Big Shot on the 4 foot table in hopes that I will not add anything else (well, maybe it would be easier to have the folder holders on the table also)....and well, now I see how it happens so quickly in my mind that in real life it is just as quick.
Liz...my husband asked last night for a frozen pizza, he does that himself...so yes, please have one!

I was working on the floor, too because my table was covered already from doing mini's. Then I was going to try to set up a six foot table in hallway, but you couldn't get around it. Aha moment: I folded the legs up and laid it on the bed in the room next to my craft room! Now I have another surface to put things on! I have a lot of flower stamp sets spread out on it...ready to go! LOL
Now, I need to find my table top in the craft room again! LOL Time to clean and regroup!

Ladies, this VSN is at a perfect time and I thank you for putting this together! My husband has been working from home and claimed the family room as his office, where my stamp space is. Because his work is mostly meetings and conference calls, he needs quiet so I can't be there stamping. My family is also very very tired of my cooking haha and wants to get takeout (we haven't eaten out in over three weeks) so the stars are aligning and I get to play!!!!! Oh my word I am SO excited!!!! Tomorrow is my husband's birthday but he doesn't like to make a big fuss over it, so my daughters and I are baking him a Buckeye Cake and hopefully it'll be nice outside and we can take it to a park to celebrate, but otherwise I'm free to play!!! Off to check out the shopping list (pretty sure I'll have everything on it already).

Oooo, I just thought of something I hardly ever use--my ironing board!! LOL! It will just fit in the hallway outside my craft room door!

I haven't used mine since last year! So I guess it will be safe to use it for a crafting surface!
This made me laugh!
Years ago, Tuesday was my ironing day and I remember how anxious I'd get doing that task while my three little girls played in the room as I ironed. I was so sure one of them would hit the board and cause the iron to tip over, so I NEVER left its side!
I do not iron anymore but my husband still irons a work shirt for himself every morning before he leaves. He likes doing it!
I did set up the 4 foot table in my stamp room but there isn't any place for the embossing folders SO...
I'll happily use the table for the Cuttlebugs and the Big Shot...now to find more of the stamp table...
If I'm correct the first challenge will go live in less than 3 hours...
Need to do Bounty Care and I've told Don my desire for the next 2 days...and Ko has not lost her plug nor had her water break so I think I'm good for at least 24-hours to enjoy making cards!!!!

I never looked at the shopping list because if I don't have it I can't go shopping to buy it...our son-in-law's work has us on lock-down so we can be available for when the baby comes.
If any employee is seeing someone other than their immediate household they are not allowed to work and must use vacation time if they want to get paid...sounds a bit strict but they have equipment options to make medical devices and can no have the virus affect their employees...
SO...its been 12 days since we have been home except for the short time I went to a local grocery store and saw 5 customers, none of whom came within many feet of me...
No eating out, no social distancing even...no socializing...
We are "on-call" and happy to do it but this is getting long already...

Ha, these ironing board posts crack me up. I pulled out the iron a couple of days ago a sure sign of anxiety. I clean and organize when I'm stressed so that was a sure sign. The cleaning up part hasn't kicked in just yet, but the stamping has, so bring it on VSN. I'm on PST so I will start at 1:00 pm in California. See you later...
