"I Believe" is the theme song of the 2010 Winter Games (sung by a virtually unknown singer, but anyway...) I would like to honor the thousands of musicians who take part in the games who play a pivotal role in entertaining the thousands of sports fans and bolstering the spirits of the talented athletes. This is especially close to my heart because I am a high school music teacher living in Vancouver and two of my choirs were invited to not only sing at the centre of all the action on Robson Street (the heart of Vancouver), but also sing at the Paralympic games opening ceremony on March 12th! What would the Olympics be without music? What would ANY event be without music?
My challenge to you has three components:
1. Include a musical element on your creation. I used some music patterned paper (Graphic 45) and there are a couple of notes on Anya's skirt for my musical components.. Be creative!
2. Follow the sketch provided based on my sample card! I am not strict about measurements etc, so use it as a starting point!
3. Give a little love to the INSIDE of the card!
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON MONDAY, MARCH 1st.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, FEB10VSNI when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.

My Rock Star Anya was just perfect for this challenge as was the music score stamp in a UK company set that I picked up at a craft fair a few years ago!
How can these people snowboard when they can't see 10 feet in front of them?? My gosh but the weather has not been very cooperative for this olympic year.

Tobi, congratulations on your involvement in the Olympics. What a wonderful honor for you and your students. I love your challenge and hope I get to submit a card to you.
While we're playing and having fun, I just wanted to remind everyone to take a minute to think about people in Chile in the aftermath of the quake, and in the Pacific in the way of the tsunami. Thanks!

This is a GREAT challenge -- I could hardly wait for the music theme! As a former music student, I can say that participation in events like that are NEVER forgotten. I continue (many) years later in a couple different community groups -- bands and orchestra.
So love this challenge!! I am a Music Teacher and a Musician so this rocks for me!!! Thanks Tobi....you rock, lady!!
