FEB09VSNF ~ Friday, Feb 20 ~ 10:00pm EST ~ "Two Hearts Beat As One"
Title: "Two Hearts Beat As One"
Hostess: Kathy (kkrab5)
Keyword: FEB09VSNF
Day/Date: Friday, Feb. 20th
Time: 10:00pm EST
Ah! You were thinking U2, weren't you? Think back to an earlier era...to the great British bard himself: William Shakespeare. The English poet and playwright is well known for his sonnets and plays that explore all aspects of human life. Romeo and Juliet epitomizes the passion of young lovers, but I like a passage from another of Shakespeares plays, The Merchant of Venice. Portia is the heroine of the play. She is a rich, beautiful, very intelligent heiress, but she is bound by the lottery set forth in her father's will, which gives potential suitors the chance to choose between three caskets consisting of gold, silver and lead. If the suitors choose the right casket they win Portia's hand in marriage. Portia favors Bassanio, but she is not allowed to give him any clues to assist in his choice.
In "The Merchant of Venice," Act 3, Scene II, Portia entreats Bassanio to stay with her for a while, and says to him,
I would detain you here some month or two
Before you venture for me. I could teach you
How to choose right, but I am then forsworn;
So will I never be: so may you miss me;
But if you do, you'll make me wish a sin,
That I had been forsworn. Beshrew your eyes,
They have o'erlook'd me and divided me;
One half of me is yours, the other half yours,
Mine own, I would say; but if mine, then yours,
And so all yours.
To commemorate Portias speech, your challenge is to create a card using the split negative technique .
DON'T FORGET TO ADD a post to your card HERE to get the special VSN coupon code for Jacksonbelle Embellishments!
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22nd.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in the chat thread just in case the gallery is being testy.

Hi Ramsey! Glad you could join us!
Question: what is the Jacksonbelle Embellishments? Is it only for cards that use Jacksonbelle, or for only specific challenges?

Beautifully written, Kathy and fleshed out as well! Brava, Shakespeare has nothing on you. Off to create. Beautiful sample by the way.
