Challenge Title: Olive to the rescue! Hostess: cnsteele - Nicole
Keyword: DEC18VSNP Date: Saturday, December 15, 2018 10PM
When my daughters were little, they loved reading "Olive, the Other Reindeer" by Vivien Walsh and J. Otto Siebold at Christmas. As teenagers, they still enjoy the book!
Olive is a dog, merrily preparing for Christmas, when she suddenly realizes she's supposed to be a reindeer ("Olive the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names"). She rushes to the North Pole, surprising Santa and his team, who wonder why a dog wants to join them on their Christmas Eve deliveries. After several mishaps that night from which Olive capably rescues them, Santa and his team of reindeer are glad Olive the dog joined them!
My challenge to you is to take a mistake and turn it into something useful and pretty. Leftover pieces that weren't quite right for a previous project, backgrounds that didn't turn out as expected, crooked sentiments, cardstock with an ink smudge, etc...use them in this challenge!

Hey, hey! My challenge is live! The final one of this amazing VSN. Hopefully by now, you all have a nice stack of cards ready to be sent out. I am excited to see the gallery for this challenge!
Love this challenge! I could do this one all day! LOL. I always hate it when I miss up taking die cuts out of the die! On my sample for you, the mistake was two mutalated die cuts! I stacked three to cover up the missing parts left in the die, or torn.

Ann and Sharon, thank you for making samples for my challenge!
Ann, you have been a total machine with both making samples and making more than one for some challenges! I have read about your baking before and it always has impressed me how much you accomplish in so many areas of life.
Sharon, I had to laugh at your comment about doing this challenge all day. I suppose your "misfits basket", as Victoria cutely called them in her card description, is of a decent size? I have two envelopes stuffed with bits and pieces of misfits. I get ridiculously excited when I can make a card with those pieces.
Here's a card that I never liked or felt it was complete! I just added two simple die cuts to give me piece of mind!! Ok, how many of you have felt the same way about a card!!
Ladies, I have decided that you all need to come and visit my craft room and see what mistakes are LOL...your cards are beautiful. Love this challenge. Happy day

I was thinking the same thing Jayne! Looking through my "misfit basket" I'm not finding such pretty items to rescue :o but I'll be back with my attempt later today
Super fun idea Nicole

Well Nicole, I just assumed in the course of doing more cards I would of course do something... I just didnt know how fast I would do it lol,
I am becoming a person who rolls with the punches for card making, I started out doing a One Layer Card for the FS challenge today... and the second to the last thing I did was stamp a sentiment on the bottom ( like so) and of Course it was blurry, so I stamped it again on a scrap. ( no problem right?) put it in a die, ( cut it crooked) and added it to the card anyways... ( such is life)
thanks for this challenge! & tfl. FS619 Christmas Snow by JBgreendawn at Splitcoaststampers
Nicole, I've had this "over-stamped" angel wings background for awhile. So I decided to use it for my "mistake" card since I just had no idea of what to do with it! Thanks for the challenge. Here's my goofy card:f
