One year we took our children to the snow for a day trip. It was a lovely pleasant drive thru the valleys to get to the base of the mountain. Then we started our ascent. UP UP UP we went. And when we got to the top we could hardly see but 200m (220 yards) in front of us. We were way up in the CLOUDS.

Tonight's challenge is to make a card featuring CLOUDS. The CLOUDS can be stamped, die cut, inked with masks or stencils, patterned paper, or even hand made. So get your head into the CLOUDS and show us where your imagination takes you.

I like this challenge, I've got my head in the clouds thinking about it! And what a lovely gallery this will inspire!

Cool.. clouds... I wouldn't have thought of this..

If any of you have any cloud cards in your galleries I'd love to be able to add them as attachments to my OP. I'm looking for a couple of different styles of clouds. Stamped clouds, die cut clouds, sponged clouds (think scalloped circles), embossed clouds (I think I saw one of these somewhere), hand cut, etc.

I'll be having a good hunt around this week for some inspiration, but if you happen to stumble across something in the meantime I'd love to see it too. :)

Oh and snow clouds are different from any other types of clouds too! Cool!

Really? I wouldn't know. I know hail clouds have a paricular look and colour, so I suppose snow clouds would have thier own look too.

To do list.

1. Add attchments

2. Check times. I've got 12pm, midday Sat 12 for my local time. (Brisbane , Australia)

3. Add links for a gallery (???)

4. Find out upload deadline for Mini VSN.

5. Get someone with experience to proof read my Challenge post.

6. Make cards for other challenges.

I finished my sample for your challenge, and I'll try to get a thumbnail put into this thread in the next couple of days. Trouble is, the rain has arrived and I really want to get a good shot in natural light, so, hmm. :rolleyes:

I very nearly went over the time limit fussing around with my clouds, :eek: so it is a rather plain card other than the image panel!

Ok....this is a first for me....I was thinking of fluffy clouds and thought of cotton balls....so these are my cotton ball clouds!! LOL

WOW. That is so cool. I was wondering if there was a card anywhere made with cotton wool clouds, and you my dear friend went and made one. LOL.

This will be totally fun!

Wow, those clouds are really cool! How did you do that?

The sky is sponged onto glossy cardstock, then I stamped the trees. For the clouds I used white craft ink (and a hint of yellow). I applied it with a cotton swab (a wide one, like for applying makeup). I was trying to create cirrus clouds.

Thanks, for making a great card for my gallery. Looks like we'll be getting a variety of cloud styles happening with this challenge. :)

2. I did a time conversion check this morning and I still get the same time. I thought it might change with the resetting of some US clocks.

I like to mask clouds, airbrush the sky and then give them more dimension with Copic Markers.

I had some pretty cloud DSP that I wanted to use for my challenge. I used a piece of it for the background and then cut out some of the clouds for the frame.

How fun! I love the cut out clouds that you used as accents!

Wow! I love all the challenge cards. I almost missed this one. Will create something and get it done soon.
