Thank you for the challenge! I was surprised it only took me 40 minutes to make this card even counting making two of the bgs! In the end I was happier with the first bg I made. I am sorry the grain doesn't show up in the photo. Does anyone else have trouble photographing their card. Sometimes it takes me several times till I get one I am happy with!
Here in On the Beach.
Thanks for the challenge Joanne.
Messy techniques are fun when the weather's nice and you can go out on the porch to try them.
Here's my card for this challenge -- saltwater birds.
I've never done this technique before but it was SO much fun! It took me way longer than I thought to do this card - 1hr & 17 mins but I love how it turned out!
Finally got mine uploaded, here it is...Salty Seahorses. I am not sure what made this one more interesting the technique itself or trying to find the salt in the mess when I was making dinner last night.

For some reason, when i read DYE inks, i computed CRAFT inks in my head, to my first attempt was just a mess. Once I realized what I had done, I tried again with better results. thanks for a challenge! my card

I like how this comes out. It's like a cross between batik and water colors. I definately need to restock on my glossy card stock with so many fabulous techniques!!
