I just spent the past two nights with Collective Soul, literally. We met the band. It was beyond my wildest dreams! I'm beyond excited still. Eeeeee!

I just returned from participating in a Veteran's Day program. I read a patriotic poem and gave a call to action at the end. Also, I made 50 thank you cards that were handed out to the Veterans or their widows as their name was called. So appreciate those men and women who served and are serving in our military!!

So far, I am all clear to play along! My oldest daughter just requires a quick trip that Saturday to and from our local library where she volunteers but I can convince DH to do that. They are spending this coming weekend being social butterflies so they know the following weekend is time for me to participate in VSN! I just love this theme and am very curious to see what challenges the hostesses have cooked up!
I saw people talking about Virtual Stamp Night in the HYCCT thread. I thought it was a Fan Club thing, so I joined. Now I find out that I didn't have to. Ack! Oh well, the money goes toward a good cause, right?
Speaking of the Fan Club, not much activity there at all. Am I missing something?

There are some challenges & galleries that are only available to Fan Club members, your uploads don't have to be approved (there are gallery moderators who take shifts approving uploads, so you lightened their load a little. ) but one of the best, amazing, fabulous, wonderful things about being a Fan Club member... in my opinion... is Dare to Get Dirty in August. It's challenges with prizes that are only available to Fan Club members. The challenge hostesses are former or current Dirty Girls. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: You get to see the details & everyone who looks in the main gallery can see your cards, but they don't get to see the details of the challenges. One of my favorite times of the year!!! :lol: :lol:

Personally, I haven't noticed much activity in the fan club, but maybe that's just me. I think people do play in the challenges, but they may not actually post in the thread that they made a card, which may account for some of it.
My favorite part about the fan club is the instant uploads!! That, and if you are a fan club member you can play in Dare to Get Dirty every summer!

Oh, I forgot about the instant uploads. That'll come in handy once I start taking part in more challenges. I'm one of the people who has been guilty of doing a challenge here and a challenge there but not uploading anything. One of my New Years resolutions is to play more and upload often.
Melissa,Also with Fan Club you can upload on Sundays! And my favorite time of the year is also DTGD. Translated, Dare to Get Dirty! You know, get our fingers dirty! LOL
But I love VSN too. I think the first challenge I ever uploaded was for VSN. Melissa, I am glad you are going to play. It is so fun when we all play at the same time!
I am going to try to play along this weekend. I have to finish my Christmas stuff, wrapping, 1 gift to get yet and packages to get in the mail and cards to get sent out...but I am sure going to try. Yeah!!! I love VSN as it is on weekends when I am home. Thanks for the thread Lee!!
Just catching up on this. If I Get my cards all mailed out I can join VSN. But I have my SU Christmas party on Friday so I'll be fashionably late! I love VSN.
THIS is exciting to know! I LOVE this. I am home alone during the day, so I get great stamping time then. On the weekends, in a one floor 1200 sq. ft. home, with a hubby and three teenage daughters around.....not so much. But they all know how much I love participating in VSN, so they are pretty good about it when I give them a heads up.
guys I don't see the dates for this VSN anywhere... ( or the peeks yet) I didn't miss it right?
we (local Marine families) do the spaghetti feed for the local MC that moves all the toys for tots toys from the ford dealers showroom to the church where the families shop them this weekend and I think the plan is to cook friday night and just serve it on Saturday (lunch ish time)

Hope to do some of the challenges during the week, but have two son's birthdays this weekend and then my back is only 75% back in shape after 2 1/2 weeks of chiropractic care!
Two son's born a day apart, the 12 and 13th!! Both of those years I still hosted Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at our house! Young and silly!
What time on Friday do the challenges begin? I hope to give this a try for the first time. Also, I saw one shopping list posted...will others be coming tomorrow or are they posted just prior to each challenge?
