APR08VSNO ~ Saturday, April 5, 7:00 pm ~ Following The Pattern ~ Chat thread
Title: Following the Pattern
Hostess: Vicki/flutterbees13
Keyword: APR08VSNO
Date/Time: Saturday, April 5, 7 p.m. EDT/ 4 p.m. PDT
To make a great dress you can start with a pattern. To make a great card you can do the same. When following a pattern to make a dress, it will tell you how you should lay out the pieces of the pattern. You find the diagram for your particular version and look at the different layout options that are given for the type and the width of fabric that youve chosen. The same can be said when following a pattern to make a card.
Your challenge: Take the following pattern and use it to make your card.
Use the following steps.
1. Panel 1 must be square. Your card can be 4x4, 5x5, 5 x 5, etc. You pick the size to fit your needs, but it must be square.
2. Panel 2 must be a circular shape. You can use a scalloped circle, but it must be circular in shape. There are many ways to get a big circle, you can use a coluzzle, cutterbee, the new stampin up carousel notes, or you can trace a bowl or a cup (or any other circular object) onto your paper and cut it out. Be creative, there are many ways to get a circle. Use as many layers as you need for your card.
3. Panel 3 is a rectangle. It can be placed horizontally or vertically on the card. Mine is 1 inches in width, but feel free to make it whatever size in width works for your card. *Option* You can place this panel either in front of or behind panel 2. Experiment with your panel and see what works best for your card. See the samples for the different options.
4. Panel 4 is totally optional. This panel can be any shape that works for your card or can be omitted if you want.
Have fun following your pattern. Make your card your own. Use whatever embellishments you want to dress up your card.

Giggle, I don't believe you... our Mrs. Fields could do no wrong, at least not in my eyes!!
This is my first challenge submission. I'm way new to this still! Hopefully I did it right and followed the rules!
Randi. As we are all designers here we tend to look for inspiration and do our own thing. I think you did really well. Followed the guide lines and added your own personality.
