FEB11VSBNF ~ Saturday, February 5, 2011 ~ 6:00 PM EST ~ I Hear Voices!
Title: "I Hear Voices!"
Hostess: Rachel: MsRabbott
Keyword: FEB11VSBNF
Day/Date: Saturday, February 5, 2011
Time: 6:00 PM (EST)
Music definately gets me in the groove for Scrapping, and ever since our Music-Inspired VSBN I have found myself paying more attention to song lyrics! One that I have wanted to scrap ever since I first heard it is Voices by Chris Young. Give it a listen, here!
Every time I hear this song I think of all the Voices I've heard that guide me through life. I think of the example set by my parents and grandparents and siblings, and how I try to honor them by living up to that standard. My challenge to you is to scrap about some of the Voices you've had in your own life. This can be a piece of advice someone gave to you, or even a silly phrase you always heard growing up as a child that you still use in your family, even now. Run with it! We can do no wrong with scrapping!
1. To be considered for VSBN Prizes, ALL VSBN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON SUNDAY, February 13.
2. You have 2 hours to complete the challenge. Please be sure to write your description of how you interpreted his/her challenge in your Upload Description.
3. Please remember to put in the correct KEYWORD FEB11VSBNF, when uploading your image; a wrong keyword means your submission may not be seen for consideration. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure you layout is seen by the host and all visitors.

sorry i can't hear you - i need to turn the volume down in my head
great challenge. I really have to think about this one.
It took me a couple of weeks to pick which advice I wanted to scrap, so I ended up using several things all from one person that I look up to! It was tough to narrow it down!

Love this challenge! However, I was just peeking! I have to finnish another one right now, but will be thinking about this one! Love your page!
Thank you
Sharon
Just put a plug on the Demo side, reminding that side of SCS about VSBN, so hopefully we can find more players not sure what else to do, hate that it's dwindling - I love VSBN time, funny thing is I have never participated in VSN, guess I have more of a need for scrapping inspiration than cards

Would using a brayer with Choc Chip ink on another pc of white or vanilla CS work?
This challenge makes me go hmmmmm. I always have problems with the ones that become kind of personal. I seemed to have blocked out so much of my growing up years. Makes me bound and determined to give DGS a childhood that he will definitely enjoy and remember. I'll work on the 4:00 challenge and ponder over this one for a while.

What about something more current? Maybe a girlfriend that had just the right advice at just the right time? Helped you with a tough situation? Even a silly word your kids or grandkids use! Anything goes!

Not sure but it sounds like work and I'm not up to that :-) I think I've got it figured out but still in working mode...taking a chocolate chip cookie break :-)
working on bday cake here, we were smart, from the big teddy bear cake, we kept the head and I froze it all week, so we could have it on her actual birthday
But I think while hubby is gone tomorrow, will make cookies, shhhh don't tell him, he will scarf em down when he gets home otherwise!

That sounds better...I'll have to think of something we do now. I did think of something right away when I read your post but I'm not sure how to get it on a scrap page. Thinking can be SO hard sometimes
Finished this one it came together better than I thought! Hope to get a good pic to upload if not will have to wait until tomorrow. Now off to think on the 2 I missed this afternoon.

That's why I have such a hard time with journaling!! If I just had to do pictures, I'd be a much faster scrapper! LOL

Terry, what about some hidden journaling advice for DGS for him when he's all grown up? I've hidden away some gems for the littles in 'don't open till your 21st birthday' envelopes here or there.

Good idea! I tend to hide a lot of my journaling, too. This way I can really document what I feel without censoring it. Right now there's no little ones to inherit the scrapbooks, so I can really be introspective and honest on my of my pages. Almost like a journal, but without my hideous handwriting!

Is anyone else having problems downloading there pages? When it tells me to choose it doesn't give me a new screen to browse my pictures in, instead it opens up my picture file directly so there is no place for scs to take the picture.
I have never had this problem.

I have never had this problem.
I don't see anything on FB or the home page about it, wonder if it's just a temporary thing? Is anyone else having problems??

I put a post in the site problems forum. Hopefully Lydia will come to my rescue. I can see new things popping up in the galleries. I am leaving to go to dinner so I will check when I get back.

yum. You need that protein to keep up the scrapping.

Good idea...except I can't do hidden journaling with digi pages :( but I like the envelope thing!
Terry, I didn't realize you were all digi now! Wow, go away for a few months and... I betcha' there's a song that means something to you that you would want to share with DGS. Google the lyrics, cut and paste onto a photo overlay (semi-transparent) on a dp background, a little 'bellie and you're done!
'k on to the next challenge.
