We only got to watch cable TV when we went on vacation and the beach house where we stayed had it. No Smurfs because it portrayed witchcraft, and Scooby-Doo was off limits because Mom thought it was so dumb we'd lose IQ points watching it (although at the time she said it was because of the ghosts and such).

In no particular order:

The World of David the Gnome
You Can't Do That on Television
Wonder Woman
3-2-1 Contact
The Muppet Show
Fraggle Rock
MacGyver (one of the rare shows Mom let us watch during dinner)
Star Trek: TNG
Quantum Leap
The Cosby Show and A Different World (you always knew where to find my family on Thursday nights!)
Voltron (better than Power Rangers ANY day!)
Transformers
Thundercats
GI Joe
My Little Pony
Rainbow Brite

All I remember from when I was really small was Kaptain Kangaroo and Romper Room. Growing up I liked the reruns of the original Mickey Mouse Club, Wild Wild West (how hot was Robert Condrad in those pants?!)~then Black Sheep Squadron and Little House on the Prairie. I also loved to watch Emergency (I thought Randolph Mantooth was hot, he's now on As The World Turns,) and CHIP's. (oh boy, Eric Estrada.) Of course I had to watch the Partidge Family, Eight is Enough, Donny & Marie and The Hardy Boys. I was boy crazy at a very young age.

My afterschool routine:
Brady Bunch
Gilligans Island
Beverly Hillbillies

And on Friday nights:
Dukes of Hazzard

Saturday nights:
Love Boat
Fantasy Island

Sunday night:
The Muppet Show
-at my son's band concert the other night, one the grades played the Muppet Show Theme, and I started singing along with it - my older son was mortified!

Let's see:

The Ray Raynor Show - this was on WGN Chicago which we got in Kalamazoo...my mom loved Ray! She loved the way that his assistant, Chauncy, would make this beautiful craft and then Ray would have to show the kids how to make it and his would look SOOOOOO bad, LOL! And the fact that he always carved a turkey at Thanksgiving and would make a total hash of it and say, "The skin is the best part anyway!" I tracked him down on the internet for her...found out he lives in Arizona and spends his time reading to the blind. He used to have kids on his show to demonstrate what their hobby was...I spent a lot of time practicing showing how to collect stamps in my room because I wanted to be on his show! And now I demonstrate how to use rubber stamps, LOL!

Captain Kangaroo and Romper Room and yes, I remember the Friendly Giant too!

The Brady Bunch & The Partridge Family - on Friday night...we watched it at my grandma's house while my dad and grandpa went bowling.

Lost in Space - love the show where they went inside the robot!

Little House on the Prairie

And I loved to watch and still love to watch reruns of I Love Lucy, The Little Rascles, and my all time favorite: Andy Griffith...but only the black and white ones when Barney Fife was still on!

Don't forget the Monkees! I liked Mickey Dolan best...though Davey Jones was just a bit too pretty!

I remember Land of the Lost too. That was a good show.

I also liked Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony, The Care Bears, Rainbow Bright. I grew up with three brothers and one sister. My sister was never around. She is older and had better stuff to do so I watched a lot of He Man, Transformers and my personal fav. boy cartoon was Thunder Cats. "Thunder Cats, Thunder Cats, Thunder Cats, Roar!"

We first got a TV in the 50's. Wasn't much on in the beginning. Kookla, Fran, and Olie, Howdy Doody, Father knows Best, American Bandstand from Phili., are some of the thing I liked. The western Wanted: Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen Was a great show.

I am not sure what age time we are talking about but her are some of my favorites:

Muppet Babies Cartoon

Kids Incorporated (thinking of the theme song now)

Small Wonder

Punky Brewster (looked like her then, still kinda do now, I have been called punky many times)

Who's the Boss

Facts of Life

Different Strokes

Growing Pains

Saved by the bell (the original cast)

Someone mentioned Pinwheel, I know I watched that show a lot but I only remember the theme song, I know it was on for hours during the day

As I got older I liked: Beverly Hills 90210, & Life goes on

Where do I start?

Bewitched
I Love Lucy
Here's Lucy
The Lucy Show
The Banana Splits
Doctor Shrinker
Sigmund The Seamonster
THE DONNY & MARIE SHOW.............I just rememberered how my girlfriend and I used to use our audio tape recorders to tape the sound from the show!! This was so funny, no one in the family was allowed in the family room so that my tape would not pick up any backround noise in the room! Can you imagine the heaven I would have been in if there was such a thing as a VCR or Tivo? I could have watched Donny & Marie over and over again until the following Friday night when I new show came on!

Angie,

I am laughing at this because my son was talking recently and confessed Wonder Woman was the one that first made him realize the difference between boys and girls.

I have honestly not seen that show since I was 6 or 7 I guess... I had the wonderwoman underoos... lol... I think it would be fun to watch an episode just to see if my mind is remembering it different than it was. Her costume was kinda tight wasnt it?

Before I went to school I always watched Sesame Street, Mr. Dress Up, the Friendly Giant (we lived close enough to Canada to get their shows)

Once I started school I would watch the Electric Company, reruns of the Brady Bunch, Monkees, and Gilligan's Island.

My favorite prime-time shows were the Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, Eight is Enough, and believe it or not, I loved to watch All in the Family with my dad. I remember always laughing at Archie Bunker's expressions. Same with Ted on the Mary Tyler Moore show.

And when I got in junior high, of course I had to watch those Dukes every Friday night!

OOh that was Medical Center (the one with Chad Everett) early 70's I think. I liked a lot of cartoons when I was little, Bugs Bunny and the Roadrunner, Tom & Jerry, Wacky Racers, Space Ghost, the Fantastic Four, the Herculoids, Johnny Quest, etc. I also watched Sesame Street, Zoom, and Captain Kangaroo. As for more "adult" shows, we used to watch the Ed Sullivan show a lot, Twilight Zone used to scare the pants off me too, Emergency (wasn't Randolph Mantooth kinda cute?) was the paramedic/firemen one, Gilligan's Island, Gomer Pyle, Mayberry RFD, the Beverly Hillbillies, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy, and on and on. The one with the talking chimps used to crack me up. I just can't remember the name right now. Land of the Lost was a little hokey, but I still watched it every once in a while. I did watch the Buggaloos, HR Pufnstuff, and Lidsville. Guess I really watched a lot of TV back then.

My all time fave cartoon was Hong Kong Phooey...I still watch it on Boomerang! I know, I'm a dork...I have my DS into it too!

I used to love Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley. Three's Company was another fave. Weird thing is that my parents let me watch Three's Company, buy wouldn't let me watch The Facts of Life (and all my friends got to watch it, so it made me want to watch it all the more!).

I loved watching Captain Kangaroo with my Dad when I was really little.
My other favorites during childhood were:
Diff'rent Strokes
Webster
Kids Incorporated
