That guy is NUTS!!! I got really scared watching him and was thankful when the divers got in the tank with him. Did you see the huge vein on his forhead? It looked like it was going to pop out! I cannot believe he stayed in that tank for a week. The skin on his fingers was totally falling off. Ewwwwwww!

That was pretty crazy, David Blaine looked VERY upset about not making the time. Guess he will have to come up with something even crazier next time.
His hands and feet had to hurt soooo bad. I am not quite sure what the point of these stunts are..
Lets see how close to death I can get?
Or, He is an attention Junkie?
Who knows. It sure is interesting to watch though.
I sure do love watching him elevate. How he does that I guess I will never know.

Honestly, I think the guy is brilliant. He has made magic attractive to younger, urban crowds by using low-production techniques (when he does his bits with kids and crowds).

The spectacle stuff that IS high production and high profile are what he needs to get attention... he's an entertainer... getting attention is what they do.

IMO, he has breathed new life into the world of magic.

I just read that he's been released from the hospital and is expected to have liver damage as a result of this stunt. A formal and more detailed public announcement will be made soon. Apparently, the doctor noticed liver problems after the second day of his immersion and requested that David quit the stunt.

I vote for attention junkie...why do you need two hours on TV to show that you can hold your breath for nearly 8 minutes? I think I'd only need 8 minutes for that.

It was nice that he had a backup record to break with the seven days underwater. I'd hate for it to be a complete waste of time.

He's definitely an interesting character.
